Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins QB Gus Frerotte is a possible salary cap vicitm if there is no collective bargaining agreement extension. Frerotte carries a $4.68 million cap number for the 2006 season. The team has approached him about restructuring his contract.

:yes: Do whatever is neccessary to get room to sign Brees, oh & resign Madison :wink:
 
i just don't want to cut frerotte and risk a chance of not getting brees. of course, if we cut him, it gives brees extra incentive to come here, as he knows there will be NO competition. if he goes to detroit, joey harrington will always be in the wings (as ridiculous as that sounds).
 
let him go. there will be plenty of other talent around, and gus wont go far, Where could he go and get a chance to start?
 
Wow, I come back form work and see all the cuts....I'm not worry about losing any of the guys we've cut so far...I just hope that we're gonna get a couple of good free agents.

This CBA is scary stuff. But there is a silver lining. We can finally get rid of Gus. I honestly wouldn't mind him being a backup but he will be overpriced as a backup and he will be terrible as a starter.
 
Finally, some good news that hopefully will be true and actually pan out this week!!! Don't let the door hit you on your Frerotten *** on the way out Gus!!!

Why? Sage can do better than Gus!
 
Gus gets cut, we are drafting a QB and getting Brees or Ramsey.
