ok. what were the weak spots on the team last season?? first, our guards go down so running game is shot. second, porter was the only person on the team that got past the opponents' o-line. renaldo hill is the worst safety ever so we were screwed from the beginning in the secondary.
as of now, March 8th, 2009, what has been done to fix these issues... are guards will be back next season (really hope thomas is as good as we all hope). we have added depth and brought in another C to compete with satele. i say o-line is set (maybe another T). as for pass rush, vonnie was let go. he was kinda aged but a veteran who could mentor the young guys on the d-line and he was also a decent pass rusher. cameron wake was brought in to help with the pass rush (hopefully he will win the starting position. i would love to see him opposite porter). finally. the day came where i will no longer see hill getting ran by or hill going up with a reciever and the reciever coming down with the ball. cant wait to see wilson opposite bell. and.. goodman was released which means we have a huge hole at CB. i really dont want to see jason allen and most likely eric green competing to be opposite allen. please bring in a CB, whether he is recruited through the draft or FA. just bring in a solid corner. and i wont touch on the whole we need a reciever. because i think that is garbage. even if we got a big reciever, he wont be utilized until henne is under center. thats why wilford never caught a ball. pennington just doesnt trust the big slower recievers. he prefers the big TE or slot. now.. hopefully by september, we will have a solid CB and maybe a big NT. good luck FO and ill just keep buying more advil for the headaches i keep aquiring while trying to guess your next move.
