I know we can still add a couple of free agents or even make a trade(I hope we don’t trade picks away) but as of right now on paper, would you rank our team unit by unit from best to worst. I know we think about possible injuries but as of RIGHT now, everyone should be ready to go by week one and remember this is just for fun and just to see how everyone feels about the different units so here goes mine.

1-WR- Hill had a down year last season but at the end of the day we have Hill/Waddle/Malik/Westbrook so talent wise this is our best unit imo

2-Edge/OLB- However you want to call talent wise the combo of Phillips/Chubb/Robinson is our 2nd most talented group. Hoping they can stay healthy

3-QB- I know this one will bring up the most arguments based mostly on how people feel about Tua but if we get our best version of Tua then along with Wilson(who has started games in the past and has some talent and then Ewers who the NFL was down on him but there's talent there to work with as our 3rd string.

4-RB- Achane/Wright/Gordon/Mattison/Ingold there's talent at this position. I think Wright is much better than what we saw last year and of course the OL was a mess in 2024. I really like Gordon and again, with better OL play this unit could be very good in 2025

5-OL- Is the OL that much better now then it was in 2024 or is the rest of the team that bad? After being pretty bad last year we added two new starting guards so as of now the OL looks like this. Paul/Savaiinaea/Brewer/Daniels/Jackson. if all 5 can stay healthy then there's a chance for them to be much better than last season. Our depth is still not very good but now Eich is a backup instead of a starter so that's good.

6-DL-After adding 3 DT's in the draft this unit should be at least a little better than last year. We lost Campbell but added r so with Seiler/Grant/Jones/Phillips there's something to work with and if our Edge guys can stay healthy then this front should be very good.

7-TE- Smith/Brown/Hill/Conyers. I'm pretty high on what Conyers can do and Brown is a better blocker than any of the TE's we had last year. I was hoping we'd draft a TE but at least we got Conyers. I'm not high on Julian Hill so I'm hoping Conyers can take that job

8-ILB-Brooks/Dodson/Britt/Gay This is not a top unit nor bottom unit either. Brooks and Dodson played well last year though

9-Safety- Davis and Melifonwu are listed as starters and several others in the mix but the reason this unit is not last is because the CB room is worst

10-CB-This could be a big problem for us this coming season. Ramsey's on this way out and do I even need to mention who we have left?

not going to talk about ST's here cause it doesn’t matter at this time but that's how I have it and I'll say 3 and 4 are very close of being the other way around so nhave at it guys.

I’m a lot higher on Ashtyn Davis than anyone I’ve seen. He was a high upside draft pick who was expected to provide competition as a kick returner when he was drafted. He was more of a track star and not a football player. And his play on limited snaps over the last two seasons has been great. A lot of that is coaching and utilization but if our coaching staff can get figure out the best way to use him he could be a diamond in the rough.

Well done.

As an aside, if I'm playing Miami this year, I'm coming out passing the football. Air it out early and often: bombs away! Phillips and Chubb have to be healthy for the Dolphins to have any chance. Last year's pass rush isn't going to cut it.

On paper, Miami's run defense should be a strength. Offensively, this team has a lot of talent. Should easily be a top 10 offensive team with more potential in the run game.

Of course, although on paper Miami's secondary looks like 32 out of 32 teams, you just never know. Maybe some young corners step up?

are you saying safety should be higher?

But I’d say pretty close to spot on. If we had more competent TEs outside of jonnu, you could move that group up

I think Miami's overall defense, at least on paper, appears weaker than 2024. They've decided to get younger on this side of the ball. But not necessarily better?

The CB unit is potentially the worst in the entire league. It's filled with a bunch of young and very inexperienced players. Kohou is the only Veteran, I think, Miami will be able to count on. The rest, lack any kind of significant experience, which may lead to serious growing pains.

Safety is another postion that could be disastrous, especially when counting on two players with injury histories.

LB appears to be the strongest unit. Lots of quality veterans, each bringing a unique skillset, along with lots of experience.

Edge is also a strong unit. Phillips, Chubb and Robinson could develop into a devastating trio. The rotational players are relatively young and bring a healthy amount of potential.

The Defensive Line could go anywhere from becoming a quality unit to a complete disaster. Zack Sieler is the only experienced player in the unit. If Miami doesn't get any kind of development from the 3 rookies, it's going to be a very long and ugly season.

This unit if successful under Weaver, it'll probably catapult him into a leading HC candidate. Maybe even the leading candidate to replace McDaniel.

Well considering Ramsay is still on the team, safety is definitely worse than CB.

Either way, this is looking like it’s going to be a bottom 5 pass defense next year unless we can get crazy effective with the pass rush and scheme.

Josh Boyer where you at?

On offense. Miami appears to have a top unit in the RB's. And if Ollie Gordon becomes as effective as I think he can, Miami just might process the top RB unit in the entire NFL.

The WR group has lots of talent but too many under sized players. Bringing in the F/A WR from Tennessee has helped round out the unit. His size and ability to find openings in the defense is sorely needed. He also brings a physical brand of playing style to the group. This group is a sneaky good collection of players.

The TE's at least on paper have potentially improved over last season. They seemed very confused or overwhelmed with their blocking assignments in McDaniel's complicated system, last year. I think things will be demonstratively improved in 2025.

At QB, it's all about Tua. And feel both backups won't amount to anything worthwhile. Hoping for a Wilson transcending improvement is like hoping for it to snow in Vegas. And Ewers, is an enigma. Nobody knows for sure what and if he ever becomes a servicable talent.

Along the offensive line, it's a mixed bag. The starters look ok. Until there is injury. Daniels is a huge improvement. But like Jackson is coming back from significant injury. Patrick Paul is the unknown and a scary one at that. If he doesn't deliver the goods, FUHGEDDABOUTIT!!! The backups are trash. Eichenberg is like phucking Felix the Cat, having 9 lives. The guy should be bagging groceries, and not playing NFL football. Jackson Carmen is the epitome of a NYC Subway Turnstile!!! If these two see any kind of serious playing time, Tua ain't making it out of 2025 without a potential serious injury.
