I have been a lifelong Dolphan, even though I was born and raised and still reside in Michigan. Well, this year I finally convinced my awesome wife of 25 years to make the trip to Sun Life Stadium for a home game. We will be attending the October 25th game against the Texans. I chose this game because, if my memory serves me correctly, we have never beaten the Texans so I want to be there when they achieve the feat of defeating every team in the league. I have see the Phins play in Foxboro, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit and Indianapolis so this has been a long time coming.

My questions to you die-hards:

  • What is the best hotel to stay at close to the stadium and the action? We will be coming down at least a day early and probably staying through at least Monday.
  • Are there any good tailgate parties that are a "can't miss"? I am willing to pay for the privilege of getting game ready with the other die-hard fans.
  • What is a good restaurant in the area to take my wife to in order to thank her for making the pilgrimage with me to the promised land? Her birthday is a couple of days after the game so I would like to do something special for her.
  • What are some good tips for game day? Any do's or don'ts I should be aware of? I don't want to be "that guy" and stand out like a dork.

Thanks in advance and Fins Up!!!

you can tailgate with us e15, bring a plastic flask as drinks can be expensive, there are many hotels just depends on your taste.

Jaxon's in dania beach has awesome sandwiches and make their own ice cream. Ate the best Reubens ever there. Lot of great higher level restaurants in area but I always eat there when in area. I would do the birthday meal there but is great food.

Blue moon fish Co has a great view and very good food. I think she would enjoy a nice romantic birthday dinner there.
