I said it last week, that the Dolphins are the front runners to win the division. Some people got on me for that, however, anyone watching the pats defense's play closely could've told you they aren't the same defense that they have been these past two years. They have fallen back to the pack, still a dangerous team, however, they aren't the untouchable 14-2 team they were last year.

The division will come down to our games against them. But first, we must prove we can get the job done on the road this week, inside our division. Once that is done, I think our teams confidence will grow and RW will be back! He is a HUGE plus for this team. Remember, he WAS the offense a couple years back, now he will just be 'another top player' in the offense. That is huge.

You heard it here first. The Mighty Dolphins will take victory in the SUPER BOWL!

No doubt about it. The Fins are a different team with Saban. Buffalo has zero offense, same for the Jets. New England has too many injuries and are a different team without Weis and Crennel. Fins will win the division barring major injuries.

Really hope so.

However, the Colts look pretty damn good this year. There are a few other teams that will get stronger as the year goes on as well. Chargers, Steelers, are two of them.

our offence has still scored more points then the jets and the bills and they have played and extra game!

I think the AFC East is ours for the taking. The Patriots injuries are catching up to them and Nick Saban knows them too well. I think we could actually take two from them. We play them in Miami in November and if we put a hurtin on them, I think they will be mentally as well as physically beaten at that point.

The Fins are a different team under Saban, no doubt. To say that we are challenging now, is ludicrous...We soundly beat a good team in Denver, but also a team (Denver) that didn't think we were going to be much better. We lost a game that we could have won in NY, mainly due to poor qb play and poor secondary play (against a team with weaknesses at the QB position). We won a game against a decent team in Carolina that we should have lost. They outplayed us offensively by far. Our secondary was exposed again and better QB play would have made the game a much easier win for us. Penalties again held us back and promoted our opponents.

A loss to the Jills this week could be more devastating than we think. The Jills are down and cornered. Based on the way they played against the Saints, we could whip them around, but also based on the way they played this week, we could be a little overconfident. We aren't good enough to be overconfident (see the Jests game). Oh, btw, a loss would also give us 2 division losses in the first 4 games...

We need to take care of our own back yard first. Yes, the Patsies, Jills and Jests have issues. The Jills have run D and QB issues. The Jests have QB and RB issues. The Patsies have secondary issues and their armor is chinked in the OL...But, the facts would be that if we lose to the Jills, we would have lost to 2 of our division rivals that have problems right now...We need to win against them and do it starting this week.

One thing, the Patsies might be down, but they are certainly not out of it...I can't in good consciousness bet against them until it's January and they are home watching the p/o's and anyone else would be stupid not to think the same way, given BB's history...

Yep, I've been saying that since we got all new starters on the D line, was speaking as a Homer then, due to the fact that I had a feeling our O would still suck, but man, glad I was wrong about that one.

Our O looks great.

Suddenly we do have a chance to do well, not because we are suddenly better, but because everyone else is suddenly worse. If we win the division, we get home field advantage for at least the first round. We get Ricky back in a week, we are in first place with a rookie coach, rookie RB, rookie coaching staff, new offense and new defense, etc. Imagine how more in sync we will be in 5 games, much less 8-9 from now when we may be playing for home field advantage. Once Ricky comes back, we will be tough to stop!

The way the other 3 have been battered it may now be realistic to think that BUT you have won 2 games at home in September which you always do well in those games. Let's see the dolphins sustain some success before we annoint them, I'm not saying they won't win it but let's just see what happens over the next month.

there is no doubt in my mind that we will win the division we still have a long ways to go but im really impressed with the new attitude.last year we lost 7 starters on defence and we didn't use that as an excuse but all in all it does you think buffallo loosing takeo isn't going to hurt them or the patriots loosing harrision we will see but i think we have a good chance to make a statement this week and win the division.

Agreed, we are totally different with Saban. However, it still comes down to our Line play and coverage with our DB's. Also, the penalities have to be minimized.

Bottom line, we have won 2 HOME games. Thats it. Plus, we lost the only Divison game so far. I like our chances based on health and recent performance but by no means have we seperated ourselves from any other team in the Division let alone the entire confernce.

Saban and staff will keep getting the team prepared but its a long long season and we will also have to overcome our recent history of late-season collapses.

Listen, with this team, every game on the schedule is going to present its own set of question marks, and as the season wears on, things like late-season failures will also be a question mark. Now part of that weekly questioning may not be a bad thing. It will keep the team focused on the task at hand vs. looking past an opponent. We clearly are preforming better than the 4 win team we produced last year. So the team in total has better talent and new chemistry.

Lets just root them on and watch Saban work his magic. Its fun so far and each week we will find new things to praise and new things to point out as less than stellar. We will worry each week about the team we match up against.

OMG, the world is coming to an end. I actually agree with a Jets fan! YUCK. I need to go take a shower. I feel nasty now.

In all seriousness, lets play a few more games first guys. I REALLY HOPE this is the way we will play, but there is still a LOT of games.

All will be revealed by the end of week 10, when we play the Patsies for the 1st time.

By then our Division Schedule will be half over, we will have played both good (Bucs Cheifs, Falcons, Pats) and bad teams (Bills, Saints) both on the road and at home, Ricky will have been back for 5 games, the Bye weeks will be over, injuries will/will not happen, etc., etc.

I just think this next 6 games will go a loooooong way in determining what kind of team we really have on our hands this season.

If we are still in 1st place after week 10, have a 7-2 or 6-3 record, and are seeming to gain momentum, then yes, I believe we have an excellent shot at winning the division.

In the last 7 games, our "easiest" games look like they will be our remaining 2 Division games against Buffalo and New York, and Tennessee. At Celveland, At Oakland, At New England, and At San Diego will be tough.

Remember guys, based on last year's results, we have THE toughest schedule in the league this year.

I think we can do it, but I will reserve judgement for a few more games to see what kind of team the Dolphins really are this year.

I think 10-6 will win our Division this year, if that team has the right amount of success in the Division and the AFC in general.

We COULD be that team... stay tuned.
