FS Tillman to start?

I think Tillman deserves to start, and Jason Allen will be fine, just needs time to learn the defense.
 
I bet by week 6 Jason starts. But at this point Tillman does deserve it.

I will say by the 4th week he will be the starter, If not, :refuse: But I believe in the Jason Allen and think he will be a great back for us, It's just a shame he missed so much of camp. :(
 
i dont really care about who starts like saban said getting to start means one play. Im mopre interested in the guy that will be on the feild when we are on the raod in buffalo and down by 3 points with 2 minutes left in the game. The guy in the game at that point is the one we are counting on

Agreed, but my basic point is that apparently Tillman is doing fine, and Jason Allen will hopefully bring it on as he learns the defense and becomes more comfortable in his role.
 
Its not only that he missed a bunch of camp, but to his detriment, Nick has him playing the corner now as well...Its hard enough to learn one position, but two of the hardest positions in all of football (FS is the QB of the defense) in one of the most complex defenses in the league has to be a mother!!!

I'm ok with Jason Allen, but I was hoping that we would draft Cromartie or
Manny Lawson.

yeah man he is goooone unfortunately i would love to see him on our roster and starting but it just seems he doesnt wanna play for us. tillman as a starter is a bit to yat for me i hope we pick up some form of free agent before the start of the season to play there or have deke cooper in there
 
Jason Allen reminds me of Carey, with one difference Carey his first year was put in a situation to not succeed. Where as Allen has the best caching staff.
 
If Tillman is the better player at this time, then he should be the on starting. I really think that Allen will overtake him but just needs time to get the defense digested and get comfortable in the scheme. It will probably also help him when the starters get back from injuries and he can focus on just one position.
