Ever since we released Heath Evens i haven't herd much about our FB. Is it still Demario Williams or whatever his name is? Should we adress the FB posistion in the offseason?

Thoughts please

i dont think we should worry about a fb because of our rb situation, now with ricky and ronnie getting all the carries, we should start moulding morris back into a fb were he started

Uhm...what? Darian Barnes is our fullback now. He is a truckload and seems to consistantly blow up blockers in the run game. The only problem seems to be that when he is in, it kind of tips the other team off that we are running in my opinion. Oh well, though, as long as he can still block, I am ok with it.

A lot of times we are running McMichael or Diamond in motion and into the backfield to work as a blocker as well. Personally, I see no reason to spend more than the vet. minimum on a fullback this offseason. I am perfectly happy with Barnes.

In fact, I have a feeling that our backfield next year will consist of Darian Barnes at the fullback spot and Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams and Sammy Morris as the halfbacks.

Alex Holmes is the future. Not at fullback, mind you, but at H-Back. They want someone who can line up in the backfield at fullback and lead block, and line up on the line of scrimmage as well.

Linehan wants a Jim Kleinsasser type guy. Consider that Alex Holmes has the same kind of build at 6'2" 270 pounds, and has been the only TE or FB who has been utilized as an H-Back.

You might not have noticed it, but Holmes has been playing a fair amount the last few games. He hasnt really unseated Darian Barnes, but he is being worked into the rotation a fair amount. For example, he played that entire last scoring drive vs. the Titans where we ran the same run play something like 5 times.

Darian Barnes has done a solid job, but I dont really think he is more then a stop gap or backup/ST type.

I think Sammy Morris is on his way out. He's a Free Agent, and he's not getting the kind of playing time he deserves in Miami. Odds are he is going to lose his blocking/recieving back role to Ronnie Brown eventually, and if we end up keeping Ricky there isnt alot of room for a 3rd runner.

I think Kay Jay Harris ends up ultimately replacing Morris. Remember, he's still on the practice squad and we did keep him as a special teamer.

Aside from the fact that we really don't use a fullback in a traditional sense very often, I think we're fine with what we've got. Barnes doesn't seem to know how to catch or get open in the flat, but we have other guys who can do that.

Ok thanks i didnt know his name. I remember reading it when he was signed and forgot his name. The only game on TV in my area was the opener against Denver so i never see the Fins play so i cant really evaulate none skill players. It's a bummer, does anyone know of any other NFL packages where you dont have to go through driect TV?

I want Rutgers FB Brian Leonard if he comes out.

Im watching him now the kid is amazing!

and fullbacks usually dont go early so he could be a 3rd/4th round pick....I wouldnt mind picking him up

He really is something......and he hasn't even gotten to hurdle anyone yet.

I don't know that he fits our system......but the kid can flat out play.

Kyle Eckel....anyone remember him?

The Pats tried to sneak him through on waivers and we snatched him up.

I know he's on our roster somewhere (some list). I don't know when his naval commitment is up though.

Alex Holmes has done a damn good job of blocking as well.

Well, for one, we dont know when he is releaved of his duty or when we can use him again.

And two, he was never really a blocking fullback. He was more of a Mike Alstott big halfback type.

Barnes has done a fantastic job. Diamond has been a solid, solid pickup as well. However, Alex Holmes, is, as Disgustipate pointed out, Jim Kleinsasser South, so expect to see a lot of him in the coming seasons.

Directv is the only place wheere you can see every game from the comfort of your living room. However, alternatives do, somewhat, exist. I also have Sirius satellite radio which allows you to receive every radio broadcast so you can at least listen to the games.

You can pay for a radio subscription through NFL.COM as well. I realize it isn't like seeing them but Directv has the exclusive rights for awhile. Personally, it was one of the best investments I ever made in getting the NFL package with HD and Tivo. I now miss NOTHING!

Or, you can wait three years until you are 21 and go to the bars to watch the games.
