On that list, I like Miles Austin, Tony Scheffler, and Antoine Bethea.

The problem with liking people on this list is that it's gonna cost draft picks to get them away from their current team. The real key to us getting these players won't be known until after the season is over which is when we can see what draft pick or picks each RFA is tendered with.

I really have a tough time seeing our FO giving up anything more than a 2nd or 3rd round pick for any RFA, they just covet their draft picks in such a high regard that I don't see them pulling any trades. Of course I could be wrong, which I would love to be.

It's kind of a bummer that some of these guys aren't going to be unrestricted free agents now. Vincent Jackson was someone I wouldn't mind us making an offer to.

Does this mean Wilfork is an ufa? Not that he won't be tagged but still. Your saying there's a chance.

Getting Wilfork would be awesome. Stealing an elite player from the pats would be awesome after all the years they have spent raiding our roster.

My main concern is whether or not there are even any negotiations going on for a new CBA. And if there is, when is the deadline to get a deal done?

I'm liking the vincent jackson and owen daniels. I'd give up a pick for Jackson, but a high pick for Daniels? I don't believe it'd be worth what they'd be asking. We do need a TE other than Fasano and Haynos.

To the Mods: Is there any way we can keep this thread on the front page so people quit posting "I want this certain FA" when they are actually RFA's which will require us to give away draft picks to sign them from their current team?

probably not, links have been posted to a site with the same info....they eventually just fall off. Even when the info is on the front page, it doesn't stop the flow of stupidity.

There wont be any serious negotiations until next season is well underway.

The owners want an uncapped year to jettison bloated contracts and to see how it works. Negoitiations won't be serious until late next year and with the owners preparing for a lockout in 2011 it doesn't look good.

Have been seeing quite a few threads where the OP's don't have a clue to who the FA's and RFA's will be because of no new CBA so I'm writing this to get it on the first page again.

I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SO MANY PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE HOW MANY PLAYERS WILL BE RFA'S BECAUSE OF NO NEW CBA.

PLEASE LOOK AT THIS LIST BEFORE POSTING ANY POSSIBLE FA ACQUISITION THREADS.
