Full Offseason Mock 1.0

6'3 310 with elite measurables, honestly he might not even make it to that 3rd pick now that I think about it. Good thing this is 1.0!!

He looks great at C but that does not mean he will look as good at OG. He could, but I think it would be better to take a pure OG at that point if it hasn't been addressed yet. Wilson actually made me think of Brewer when watching that.

You lost me at Mariota, why him, bc he's Tuas buddy? He's not any good, if we're building a good team don't you want a good QB playing the 6 to 10 games Tuas gonna miss?
Of course, there is the very real possibility that your analysis of Mariota is quite inaccurate, as he compares with other available UFA QB2s.

I would also be in for that! Martinis for me instead of beers.đź‘Ť
White Russians for me instead of beers. Thailand beers mostly suck. Chang and Singha anyway. This is one area where the Philippines has it over Thailand. San Miguel is superior to either of those Thai beers.

If you watch the drills in the combine and study the movement there wasn’t anyone better in just graceful coordinated movement, this is where he makes up ground by not wasting movement and being efficient.

He also ran over 23 mph which was top 5

Emanwori quite after the forty, not Starks

That to me is a red flag and I know who I would choose
Emmanwori did a lot more than run the 40. At least VJ, BJ, and Bench.

Let me open a shitty cold Thai beer now and get back to you...yeah it's ice cold after a day working in the yard in 90 degree heat.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And since I am holding it, she looks beautiful right now.

Free Agency

FS Justin Reid 28 - PFF coverage ranking 12/170 run defense 31/170 overall ranking 20/170.

Hope you guys enjoy reading as much as I did doing it all. Had to adjust multiple times because of moves like Terron, then Kion and Goode, then Chubb. I was pretty thorough and I learned a ton. Some decisions took me hours lol. Not easy deciding who, what, where, how many, how much, etc. Had a lot of fun though. Cant wait for until Monday. The depth chart was color coded but now its not and I just dont have the juice right now to do it again. It shows the options of the first 2 mocks..without the colors, sorry if its difficult to differentiate.. I can edit it at some point
This is awesome. My thoughts:

Agree on all the restructures.

Personally I’d let Benito Jones walk, and I think Wynn is retiring — but I’d use that same money for a good backup swing tackle. I’d like Dodson back, but not at more than $2-3M per year.

In free agency, I’d aim a little higher than Mekari. I want one of Teven Jenkins, Will Fries, or Aaron Banks. And I also want a vet like Scherf. Even if it means some void years to make both of those things happen. For the $5.5M you have allotted to Dodson, I’d rather give someone better a multi-year deal starting at the same cap figure. Maybe Sherwood. Then at safety, I’d give the Blackmon money to Moehrig instead. Love the Nate Hobbs idea at CB.

In the draft, I’d go Tyler Warren in the first. That basically completes our offense from my perspective — just add a mid-round OL prospect and a late round short yardage back. In the second round, I like Alfred Collins and in the third, I like Mukuba.

In my reworking, the defense probably needs one more good DT. Otherwise, I’m good with all your other moves. That team is a competitor.

Just a starting point as I get anxious for what's to come in the next two months. Here's what I got so far:

Free Agent Signings:

Jason Pinnock, S
Tommy Tremble, TE
Jarran Reed, DT
Tre'Davious White, DB
Taylor Heinicke, QB
Noah Brown, WR
Isaiah Wynn, OL
Joe Noteboom, OL
Calaias Campbell, DT
Tyrel Dodson, LB

Draft:
  • Malaki Starks (S, Georgia)
  • Tre Harris (WR, Ole Miss)
  • Jared Wilson (OG, Georgia)
  • Danny Stutsman (LB, Oklahoma)
  • Jalen Rivers (OG, Miami)
  • CJ West (DT, Bowling Green)
  • Quincy Riley (DB, Louisville)
  • Ja’Quinden Jackson (RB, Utah)
  • Zeek Biggers (DT, Georgia Tech)
  • Hunter Wohler (S, Wisconsin)
Roster:

QB: Tua, Heinicke
RB: Achane, Wright, Jackson
FB: Ingold
TE: Smith, Tremble, Hill
WR: Hill, Waddle, Harris, Washington, Brown, Taj Washington
OL: Paul, Jackson, Brewer, Wynn, Wilson, Rivers, Noteboom, Meyer, Hayes

DT: Seiler, Reed, Campbell, West, Biggers
Edge: Chubb, Phillips, Robinson, Ogbah, Kamara, Goode
LB: Brooks, Dodson, Stutsman, Tindall
DB: Ramsey, White, Smith, Kohou, Riley, Duck, Isaiah Johnson
S: Starks, Pinnock, McMorris, Wohler, Maitre
K: Sanders
P: Bailey
LS: Ferguson

Some thoughts:

Get a capable gunslinger to back up Tua
Jackson is a big power back with great speed
Pinnock and Starks is a formidable safety duo
Get a true X receiver to push Waddle to slot potentially, also get another big wr in Brown in FA
Tremble becomes the move TE that is an elite blocker, Hill might actually be better on the line.
mix of affordable vets and mid round draft picks on the OL to have a competition in TC for starters
DT's are being rotated so we get some run stuffers with upside, and rotate them with proven vets
Get a solid #2 corner in White, love Quincy Riley as a ballhawking specialist. Cam Smith needs to show out this year
Dodson and Brooks was a solid pairing, adding Stutsman will bolster that room as a blitzer and high IQ player
I think we are drafting a QB.

I agree! Not only compare with the UFA QB2s, but compare him to all the QB2s in the league. It's not a great list. He's as good as any of them. He's still a good athlete too.
My issue with Marcus is his heart I don’t believe is in it and he’s just coasting along
