Full Offseason Mock 1.0

This is awesome. My thoughts:

Agree on all the restructures.

Personally I’d let Benito Jones walk, and I think Wynn is retiring — but I’d use that same money for a good backup swing tackle. I’d like Dodson back, but not at more than $2-3M per year.

In free agency, I’d aim a little higher than Mekari. I want one of Teven Jenkins, Will Fries, or Aaron Banks. And I also want a vet like Scherf. Even if it means some void years to make both of those things happen. For the $5.5M you have allotted to Dodson, I’d rather give someone better a multi-year deal starting at the same cap figure. Maybe Sherwood. Then at safety, I’d give the Blackmon money to Moehrig instead. Love the Nate Hobbs idea at CB.

In the draft, I’d go Tyler Warren in the first. That basically completes our offense from my perspective — just add a mid-round OL prospect and a late round short yardage back. In the second round, I like Alfred Collins and in the third, I like Mukuba.

In my reworking, the defense probably needs one more good DT. Otherwise, I’m good with all your other moves. That team is a competitor.
Thanks man, it was a lot of fun. I encourage everyone to do one if they have the time. You learn a lot in the process if you're thorough and dont assume things like the money a player would sign for or just the names people cling to and talk about--there are other free agents out there that are being overlooked that can help teams.

I honestly may do another one before tomorrow just because it would be easier now that I have done all the work and I may incorporate a Tua restructure giving me another 21M to work with and being more aggressive with higher priced players. Thats the thing with this, you could go a zillion different ways. I really tried to plug as many holes as I could. I think its a much improved roster, but I do think I could do it differently and better, especially with more $$$ to use. Im a believer in Tua and would restructure him, I did not in mine because I tried to blend my mock with maybe some of what I thought Miami will actually do.

Let me open a shitty cold Thai beer now and get back to you...yeah it's ice cold after a day working in the yard in 90 degree heat.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And since I am holding it, she looks beautiful right now.

I agree, that when it comes to the taste of beers, which ones are best is highly subjective. The best beer I ever drank was in Thailand. My favorite beer bar had Heineken and Tiger on tap. The only beer better than an ice-cold Tiger draft is ice-cold Heineken draft. IMO.

Ice cold Heineken or Asahi for me

Ok I took all the guesswork out of our draft. Traded the farm + our first next year and took Carter.

I kept one pick to give Bailey some competition.

Who says no? 😂

All I see is a bunch of names of players who aren’t getting us over the hump.

Y’all better start thinking about offsets at qb cause without it all of this with Josh Allen in the division is utterly meaningless.

Really? What if KC or Baltimore ends ups playing Buffalo in the first round?

We should be trying to sell the farm, take the next 2 years to build the Oline and look to be in a position to grab Arch Manning in 2027. Yes...I want to rebuild and tank again. We're in no way shape or form remotely close to a Super Bowl with Tua.

You know what, I'm going to walk my take back a bit. He's got a cannon for an arm, is elusive to escape the pocket and throw on the run, and was drafted by the ****ing Jets so can't be too hard on him. If it saves us from drafting Milroe or Gabriel I'm liking this even more.

I'd be happy with this. Could have taken Starks, but Pearce is one of my man crush guys in the draft and with him sitting there I couldn't pass.
