Marcel Reese just cut by the Raiders after serving his 4 game PED suspension. Thoughts on him?

Has Gase ever operated with a fullback in his offense?

It's not an easy thing to lineup a FB in the backfield and cure some of the ills of this offense. Adding that extra body back there changes things for the QB and some running backs find it difficult to adjust to running behind a FB.

offensively we arent built for a full back. our best personal grouping (subjective of course) is 3 wide 11 personnel. as much as i personally would love to go back to a smash mouth offense and would have loved to draft that beast henry it doesnt fit for what we are building towards under Tannebaum.

If nothing else a FB might be a good replacement for a RB in certain packages when most of the time the role will be blocking for the QB. That might be a waste of a rooster spot though, maybe a guard might be a better option?

This is random but he's a friend of mine and a little known fact is that we had actually signed him as an undrafted free agent for a about week out of Washington. We cut ties with hime shortly after then he signed in Oakland. Surprised by the move would love him to play with the Fins

We need to use a lead blocker on key running downs. End of. Don't care who it is. Just spring a damn hole.

Didn't we try earl Mitchell at fb last year? Maybe Phillips wants a go at it. I love it when the big dts get their shot on offense

But I do really enjoy smash mouth offense with lots of fb leads. Also helps if they can catch a bit too.

Resse is probably an upgrade over MAxwell at cb! Would probably not be running 8 yards behind the wr -_-

After watching Gary crush the safety on the game winning run, I am fine using Gary as a fullback on some plays. It is was against a backup safety, but that is a steamroller block given the play call.

Now that Cameron is out, we will probably see more of this with Gray and Sims in 12 personnel.

will see more gray doubt we see more gray pass game emphasis...it's too soon...but it needs to come...they can run some h back routes in the flat etc with him off pa and if Miami isn't gonna run no huddle tempo I got no problem with a fullback. will the offense still be a grind letting teams match personnel? yep but I'm wondering how long before gase realizes his mistake

that team should be trying to prep everyone in that 2 deep on offense for no huddle tempo. not this week though. no starting center means most likely Miami has to huddle up cause the hc/play caller doesn't trust the new center to have down all the protections and line calls
