that Nick Saban will be offered the Alabama coaching job Sunday night with a deal for 10 years, $57 MM. That is just sick folks.

That was not a misprint... these guys are so desperate they are willing to pay Saban $57MM over 10 years. Maybe this is the reason Ole Nick is hiding.

He's already making 5 mill a year isn't he? The way I see it is that if he leaves, he'll never fulfill his NFL coaching dreams, something he has been working toward his whole life by all acounts. Does he really need the money? Surely it isn't about that as again, he's making plenty, probably more than he'll ever need. He can go back to college after he has done all he can do in the NFL.

I just don't see him leaving, and if he does then he isn't the guy we want anyway.

Agreed on all accounts

He would be the highest paid coach in college football.... $5.7 million per year for 10 guaranteed years. To answer your question, no, Nick Saban is not making $5.7 million per year at Miami.

wouldnt he be the highest paid in football period?

The main staying point is that if Saban left after all this denial of taking the Alabama job he would surely never be trusted by another NFL owner so his future in the NFL would be over not to mention his integrity would take a huge hit. Realistically compared to what he's making now that is not a very big number. My gut says he won't go but honestly with the position he's in now and so much riding on this off season it is not out of the realm of possibility that he would want to cut his losses and go back to college.

Who really knows...only time will tell I suppose...
