The Chargers have stated publicly that they're interested in trading wide receiver David Boston. The Miami Dolphins have confirmed privately that they're interested in acquiring the former Pro Bowler.

The issue for the sides is how to get a deal done.

The Dolphins are reluctant to part with a draft choice, which normally could be a stumbling block. But a review of the Chargers' offseason moves indicates they might be more interested in getting out from under the $6.9 million in guarantees they owe Boston over the next two years than securing a high draft pick.

So we could potentially give up a fourth in next years draft? That would work for me..

Contacted yesterday, an official from one team desiring a No. 1 wideout said Boston's contract was too pricey.

Philly??

If you were RS and you talked to Boston,s agent. Would you now know that he would only go to Miami if he is a FA? Boston could stop any trade by not redoing his contract. Could this be the plan that is already done via the back door of FA.
