You can't tell me that the BS call on Cano didn't change the entire course of the game

It was a huge turning point of the game no doubt. However the umps made the right call.

i have no problem with a controversial call going against the Yankees... none whatsoever... ;)

That's because nothing has ever went their way since 1996 right?

David Wells is still pissed off about Jeter's "home run" in the 1996 playoffs that cost Baltimore that game and possibly the series.

You have to be kidding me. The ball was past the 1st basemen before Cano even got there. He misplayed the ball and it should have been an error. Cano would be safe at first, a run score and the Yankees have men on at 1st and 2nd with another batter up. Completely different game. I still think the loss falls mostly on Mussina and A-Rod.

Cano was inside the base line and thus interfered in the play. If the umps didn't make the right call then why didn't Joe Torre go nuts?

Torre was up and out there in a heartbeat and in the umps face. he just had enough sense about him not to get ejected.

Ok well you know how's there's 2 white lines up the first base line? One is the foul line the and there's another one to the right of it. Well baseball rules say that a player running to 1st base must be in the middle of those 2 lines. Cano was on the fair line. Therefore he's out because he interfered with the play. Even the announcers said that. The announcers also said IF Cano was running where he was suppose to be then the ball would have probably hit him and he'd be safe anyway. End of story. The Yankees didn't get screwed, the umps got the call right. It's happened before in baseball games.

Torre was talking to the umps for about a minute because he knew the call was right, not because he had sense not to get ejected, its a playoff game and do or die, if the umps blew the call Torre would have went nuts.
