I would have given the offensive game balls to the defense....but thats just me.

Well, he said the defense didn't play well until the 4th quarter and they've got a lot of things to work on, so I dont think he would agree with your assesment!

I was saying this in another thread, I think Capers/Saban make great halftime adjustments with the defense. I get the feel Mularkey is taking a nap at halftime.

Well he should . . . when your Defense scores more points than your offense that is deserving of some offensive game balls. I don't care if the D was horrible for 3 quarters (which only the first drive was terrible, they bended a little but didn't break and took over in the 4th quarter) . . . that is deserving of recognition . . on both sides of the ball.

Remember his buddy who said when things are going good he doles out criticism but when it's going bad he praises?

So it appears Saban was happy with the defense but is protecting his offense!

Point of order here, Zach Thomas got the other game ball for defense with 27 production points. He said that Jason Taylor got one of the defensive game balls and had over 30 production points, which he said is where you start getting into that record-setting territory a la Julian Peterson.
