DAVIE - Sunday's Miami Dolphins home game against the undefeated New Orleans Saints has been declared a sellout, and will be aired locally.

WSVN (Channel 7) will carry the game, which begins at 4:15 p.m., in Miami and Fort. Lauderdale, and WFLX (Channel 29) will broadcast it in West Palm Beach.

Because of availability in the club seat area, and tickets returned by the Saints, a limited number of seats are still available, and can be purchased by contacting 1 (888) FINS-TIX.

============================
In the local broadcast area the game is not available on the SUnday ticket regardless of whether the game sells out or not. Therefore if it does not sell out and is blacked out on the local channel you will not be able to see the game.
i.e. I live just outside dallas and if (for some strange reason) I wanted to watch the cowboys game (1:00 or 4:00 kick off) I would need to tune in to the local FOX or CBS affiliate not the SUnday ticket channel to see the game

I don't know much about this kind of stuff, but doesn't the team who is facing a black-out always try its best to make sure the game is shown? just seems like it would be a bad idea to not play the game for the locals.

they think it makes the fans think, well if its not on tv i guess i better go to the game. usually though the local tv channel will buy the remaining tickets so people will watch their station and commercials. its usually a win win situation except in jacksonville

Why is it every week theres a threat of a blackout? Never happens.

And I think were the only team in NFL history to have a playoff game blacked out LOL. Playoffs used to be automatic, winning in the playoffs was a different story. Wow how things have changed, we took that for granted.

I hope they move Jacksonville to L.A because no one likes the Jags except 4 people in Jacksonville and Lex and Terry.

Yeah, I remember that 2000 Wild Card game against the Colts being blacked out. That pissed me off. Lamar Smith runs for over 200 yards and the GW TD in OT and nobody saw it. That was ridiculous.

The reason why there is a threat of a Black out and it never happens the local Tv station will always buy up any remaining tickets if it is with in reason.The have sold air time for advertisements and dont want to lose that profit. Locally they know alot of south florida will tune in and its a big game so its worth it for them to buy up any remaining tickets to make sure the game is televised locally.Years ago it may not have been worth it but now the Nfl is such a huge draw and they charge major bucks for air time.

Wow we must of had 2 playoff games blacked out then b/c I was talking about the Ravens game at home where we lost 20-3!! Terrible.

In 1972 (the year we went undefeated) the Cleveland playoff game was also blacked out. I had to listen to it on the radio.

Really? How does a then-AFC Champion and undefeated team not sell out a playoff game?
