We need a game changer type player. Bill has done a nice job of stocking the roster with fairly young, up and coming players but we still need a game breaker. Where are we gonna find that player? The options are dwindling fast in this years free agency. We can only hope Mr. Pace changes his mind and takes our offer and from all that I have read even Mr. Pace has had only one good year in his career. Certainly not a proven player. As a die hard Dolphin fan I want to see an instant turn around, but the facts are this rebuild will take another year or two, consisting of aggresive moves like we seen yesterday. We can all rest easier knowing that we are finally headed in the right direction.

Your thoughts.

The draft.:)

Yeah we could use a game changing type player but don't we already have that with young Teddy Ginn? Plus it has only been one day. If you were to look in FA for one, I think that game changer could be Javon Walker if he stays healthy. He is a very talented wide out but has been battling injuries. Also regarding Pace's one year wonder season, the reason he has had not much success in the past years is because he was misused. I believe he was a full time defensive end ? Someone correct me if I am wrong. He switched to OLB and was a monster.

Rebuilding doesn't happen overnight, patience is the key. Right now all I care about is building a solid foundation and we can worry about the game changers later.

A football team that believes in each other, and plays unselfish football as part of a TEAM concept doesnt need a big FA.....

Its all about the flow my man, Parcells & Co. are signing the kind of guys who mesh well together...that is the recipe for victory.

Beef on the DL ,so we don't give up 150+ yards rushing a game will change our games.

You get your superstars through the draft. You get your solid role players through FA.

So far the F.O is executing this formulas to perfection. We will get our game changers on April 27th.

on offense we have playmakers in ted ginn, ronnie brown(when healthy) and witht he signing of earnest wilford..yes earnest wilford may not sound like a gamechanger on alot of teams this guy is gonna do something most of our recent recievers have not yet been able to do and that is catch the ball consistantly..while he maynot have alot of yac the key word is catch. no more are the days of low third down completions. on d taylor should have another year like he did 2 yrs ago with the addition of fergusson and starks helping get pressure on the qb and with porter being a yr into this new d i see him having a much better year as well as hoping jason allen continuing his production from late last season. while some of the guys recently brought in may not start ideally you want your #2's to be able to step in and play just as good.

That gamechanger, that superstar, can come quietly in the form of a left tackle named Jake Long...solid qb protection and a huge gap for our current star, Ronnie, to run wild behind...
Either that, or a freakish DE that opposing QB´s will have nightmares about, Chris Long

Ya know I couldn't agree with you more on the Jake Long comment. The guys a monster. Matt Ryan is the sexy pick, but your analogy is spot on.

While Ryans numbers do not wow anyone into believing he is the next best thing, Jake and Chris apparently sure seem like gems...Anyways, we can stil pick another qb with any of our 2nds, or the early 3rd...

you still win game at the LOS and Parcells is working on that with 2 bit DT's plus a guard so far and we still have the draft....you need skill players but it starts up front and I like that we're working on that.

Ozzy rules!!

I think the front office might believe the gamebreakers are already on the roster and all they have to do is fill the rest of the roster with solid players. I don't know that much about the players we brought in but I'm willing to bet they know how to tackle. Something the guys on the defensive side of the ball didn't really do last year. That problem also carried over to special teams , along with the inability to block the guy in front of them without reaching outside their shoulder pads or waitng for them to run by before deciding to throw a block.

The philosophy appears to be simple, build a solid core of role players through free agency, so not to get yourself in cap trouble, and hope you get the big time playmakers through the draft. This team has playmakers in Brown and Ginn on the offensive side of the ball and Taylor, Porter on the defensive side. We obviously need more if we will want to get back to the ranks of the elite NFL teams, but it wont happen in 1 year. The two most glaring needs are playmakers at the QB and in the secondary.
