The Good-
Crowder-ROY type performance yesterday. Nasty, fast and angry. Too bad the other rooks outside of Ronnie were absent yesterday
Kevin Carter- worth every penny, ditto Keith Traylor
O-line looks a little better. Puzzled why Welker is jawing at them. Holes in the run game, good pass blocking despite the short drops by Gus.
Our new FB- Barnes is a pure FB, he blows up linebackers and has attitude.
The Bad-
Welker and Zach- both had their worst games of the year. Wes has to catch those 3rd down passes (as tough as it was) above his head and can't afford to make judgment errors on punts. Zach over-ran too many plays and had more missed tackles than I've seen in awhile.
The Secondary-Nobody, nobody makes any plays back there. They can't/won't don't break on the ball at all even when they're right there. We need a shutdown corner in free agency as I don't see Daniels as starting caliber quality yet.
Ugly-
Gus- I'm sorry he gets no pass. He's a pro QB. You can't be that inaccurate or stare down a WR in double coverage with game on line. He throws late, high or into the D-line. Fiedler, as much as I thought he was terrible had nothing on old Gus who is to playmaking what Wanny was to coaching.
Linehan-Double reverses on 2nd and 3? State of liberty plays vs a fast defense? Reverses to Welker when the run game is gashing their defense? Genius. This offense looks like it doesn't have any plays at all for 3rd and short situations other than to mindlessly chuck the ball long or into double coverage. Running welker on sideline patterns and Chambers on crossing routes is either dyslexic or just dumb. Where is Randy Mac?
Somebody has to be open, Gus and Randy and why the hell don't you trust your running game.
Reggie How-hard- Its called competing, Reg. You don't give up 10 yards of cushion on 3rd and goal. You are an embarassment and only the Saints can make you look otherwise
