I cannot believe gase deferred again. And this ain't Monday morning quarterbacking, I said last week he can't defer. Can't afford to fall behind 7-0 5 minutes into the game on the road in playoffs. Even if we receive and get 1 first down and punt, at least the game is settled down. Our defense stinks, simply cannot put them on the field first and let the steelers jump us right away and get the momentum and the crowd into it.

And everyone knew the steelers would sell out to stop the run, we needed to be aggressive throwing right off the bat. Too many predictable runs up the middle, too many short passes. We needed a game plan to surprise Pittsburgh, instead we played right into their hands. Disappointed in gase, steelers aren't that good.

Deferring was the right call. As bad as the defense played the offense had an opportunity to get us right back into the game with the final drive of the 1st half and opening drive of the second.

Game was over when Albert blew protection and Moore had zero pocket presence, let the ball go in the red zone for the first of three consecutive turn overs.

We had this game. Just like we had the Pats within 6...

Guess what the difference is that is keeping us from making these games flip in our direction? Rhymes with Lann'a fill

Would have worked out excellent had we not turned the ball over before and after the half. I've always been a fan of deferring, like Belichick.

Actually the game was over with fumble, fumble, int in 3 straight possessions! If we score a TD in the last drive of the first half to get to within 7, and do something with the opening kick off......it looks like a great move!

It doesn't matter, accept and go 3 and out or defer and give up a 7-0 score. This team is not good at scoring first or forcing a 3 and out.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda..... We lost to a better team. End of story.

Gase is a slow learner. How many damn times do you defer only to watch us fall behind 7-0. Totally dumb

Gase is a slow learner?! You might want to look in the mirror.

I saw him call a fake punt that no one is talking about that was a work of art. This guy is an ace. Gase's awareness and in-game adjustments are off the charts. He may be top 3 in the NFL.

I love that he defers and gets the ball in the second half. Sucks we had a backup QB who couldn't make the D pay like Tannehill could.

Patriots players respect this guys in game adjustments... compared it to practicing against Pats offense. Since you are such a slow learner, read this and catch up.

Why was it the right call again? It gave us the chance to come back you say! Insightful

If you have the worst point differential in the first quarter in the entire NFL and you give up the most points in the first quarter of any team in the league, you have to try something different. Playoff game, on the road, you know their offense is loaded with playmakers, you know your defense is loaded with CFL players, how the hell do you defer?

I can't believe people think deferring is what cost us the game. It was the right call. The defense needs to set the tone! I love getting the ball at halftime.

Steelers drive 80+ yards on first three possesions and you think that would have changed had Miami recieved the openning kickoff?

Ok let's say we don't defer but we go 3 and out. Now what?

Say Miami gets the opening kick and scores on their first drive. No one trusts the defense to hold Pittsburgh on their first drive.

Far too easy to criticize anything.
