I’d take the other side of that bet, even spotting Gase a promising, but undeveloped, QB.
He definitely has the advantage of great draft positioning, but it doesn’t mean he’s going to turn into a good coach.
Makes no difference. It’s all about talent. Tannehill is trash Gase gets fired. Tannehill is good he’s still here.
It’s a little soon to be crowning Darnold as a franchise QB. We’ll see.
You're not a Gase fan yet you say the people who question his probability for failure will be greatly disappointed. Sounds like a Gase fan.
Am I the only one that laughs at the name "Jim Bob Cooter"?
Didnt take long.
Was posted yesterday in the Dolphin forum and moved to the general.
Couldn't happen too a nice group of guys.
Welcome to the **** show NY! Good luck. You are going to need it. Gase may be a good football guy, but he is a horrible head coach.
Giving credit where due, I took this off one of the Jets forums
***and shouldn't this thread be in the "Beasts Of The East" ??
So far despite the advance billings, there's virtually no evidence that Gase is a "QB Whisperer." Peyton called his own plays and was already enshrined in the HOF before overlapping with Gase, Osweiller 2x is Osweiler, Cutler in Chicago, despite enhancing his metrics still went 6-9 (and the bears went 6-10), there was no improvement, and if anything, a regression for Cutler in Miami. In 2016 it did look like Gase was living up to his billing when Tannehill was cheap shotted in the AZ game but he was never the same player afterwards.
To assume that hiring Gase will make Darnold a top tier QB, cut down on the interceptions that have plagued him since USC , might end up being correct but for now with little evidence behind it, really amounds to a giant leap of faith!
The start of Gase's tenure with the Jets has all the makings of a one and done.
Why do your posts look like what 14 year old girls text to eachother.
