In essence, Timmons serves one game suspension. He missed the Chargers game due to his own action. Then he suspended for the Jets game. That’s not the way to set an example for the team by the head coach. If I am his teammate, and knows the consequence for AWOL is only one game suspension, whats to stop me from late for practice and meeting? Couple thousands dollars fine? Big deal!

On top of that, I don’t see any remorse in his presser. Robotic and looks being pressured. All bad signs.

This is the first time I am disappointed by Gase.

I agree. They want the playoffs again this year so Timmons is essential to that. But realistically that will be a challenge and Gase would have been better putting his foot down firmer or longer than he did.

Too many short term moves happening, which to be fair are mostly injury inspired.
 
Nah, none of us know what really happened and tbh I'd rather the coach take a Jimmy Johnson approach and treat his players individually according to their value then take a universal black and white approach. Timmons has earned major respect throughout his career and we're lucky to have him.

Not sure what anyone expected? was only ever going to miss a game or two.

I suppose some wanted to cut him
 
Pretty sure if they had beat the Jets and were 2-0 he stays suspended for at least the first 4 games. The move reeks of desperation on Tbaum and Gase's part to me. A week ago Gase made it sound like theres a good chance he wouldn't be back at all.
 
guessing that anyone here who saw the headline that Timmons was back for this weekend, and wasn't happy about it, is indeed a liar. If he pulls that crap again, show him to the curb.
 
I would of let him play against the Jets, and world have taken a couple of game checks also. He'd have a chance to earn all that back by playing lights out the rest of the season.

Couple thousand? Dude lost millions. He lost a game two game checks plus about $4.5 Million in incentives making him very susceptible to being cut after the season.

Actually hes going to lose as much as 5 million because of it.
