Looking at Gases tenure here in Miami the 2 things that really stick out negatively First is the lack of decipline on the team. The penalties and blown assignments are basic football.
Second has been veteran players basically quiting on him and or the team. Jones and Phillips this year last year Timmons, Jay Ajayi and Laundry.
Serious lack of communication at some level on this team for this to have happened.
While I agree with Awsi Dooger Gase has had a way of winning games we should not have won and may be worth keeping as a head coach these other issues are definitely holding Gase back imo.

How about once, just once, lining up in the I formation on 3rd and 1...

The only positive thing I have is the home record and the AFC East record. And that's a stretch because even many of the Winds we had were not impressive wins and we certainly can't win the game when we need to. Everything else is negative and regression from prior years

Here what I find odd. Gase is great in one score games but it’s like the only way we win. We seem to look lost, unprepared and unable to execute **** when we aren’t winning one score games.

I'm not advocating to keep Gase, I will acknowledge when he finally took the ball out of Tannehill's hands and started running Ballage in the wildcat on 3rd and 1 it was highly successful. However it did take a long time for him to figure that out

Yes he was throwing on 3rd and 1 even in games where the run game was working. But I don’t think we ever just lined up and powered the ball home in any of those situations.

The big issue with a lot of young coaches is not having the connections to assemble a quality staff. That was a problem for Gase.

Gase also hasn't utilized his most talented players well enough. Drake is an example this year. Grant last year. His refusal to stick with the run has been a real head scratcher as well.

Weigh in the fact that about half his games have been with Jay Cutler, Matt Moore and Brock Osweiler at quarterback and its underscores some of his challenges.

Not really sure what position Gase would be good at in the NFL without Peyton Manning. However he has failed as a head coach/ offensive coordintor with the Dolphins.

Hum Gase lost the players just as I assumed earlier after reviewing these recent players posts. If both Wake and Gore posted negative comments then Gase royally screwed up as both these veterans are very respected players and have nothing to gain making comments about a coach. While Gase may move on and end up in a Bill B role and win it all I highly doubt he can ever get there without the locker room. Proof is in the pudding and as this post mentioned up front there is a track record of players under Gase basically quiting which as talented as Gase may be as a play caller he is as equally blew it as a head coach. Gase had to go maybe he figures it out but staying in Miami Gase would have drowned in his his ego and stupidity.
