It's becoming clearer by the week that Ryan Tannehill is no longer the Miami Dolphins' long-term answer at quarterback.

The signal-caller led another limp output against a good defense in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that officially eliminated the Dolphins from playoff contention. It's the second straight week Miami put up just seven points on offense.

The Dolphins offense was held to less than 200 total yards for the fifth time this season and third time this month. No other team has had three such games all season, much less in a month. The rest of the NFL combined has just three such games this month.

Tannehill went 15-of-22 passing for 146 yards with one touchdown and one interception. It's the second straight game in which the quarterback has thrown for fewer than 150 yards. Since returning from injury, Tannehill has authored just one game out of five with more than 205 yards passing.

Funny how gase is changing his stance on Tannehill. He now realizes it was a mistake to marry himself to Tannehill. Going to be an interesting offseason.

Tannehill has been terrible that last couple of games.....no doubt. But I think this was a classless comment by Gase. He blames everyone and everything for our issues, but never seems to take responsibility himself. Gase needs to COACH BETTER and pay attention to the damn game instead of taking a snowflake moment on the bench. Damn millennials.....

Still haven’t seen his ceiling....

I found it.

Gase is backed into a corner so it’s time to toss everyone under the bus.

Gase and the FO put all their eggs in one basket with Tannehill and they were wrong. Now it's time to blame Tannehill and injuries and everything else too. Ross needs to clean house but I'm not holding my breath as he's never done it before.

It's another indication that he is not a HC I want to lead my team.

I guess he's never heard the expression "the buck stops here".

He really doesn't see the connection between his actions, and our dismal performance.

If 17 were the only issue, it would be one thing. Obviously there are a multitude of serious problems. I'm ready to move on from RT, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Maybe if Gase called better games? Maybe Tannehill plays better? Good grieve for christ sake!! Gase is in full, "It's not my fault", Mode!!! I can't stand this Buffoon.

At one time, Gase’s endorsement of Tannehill was seen as the ultimate trump card, as a reason why Tannehill was here for the unchallenged long term.

How the worm has turned. Now Tannehill’s being thrown under the bus and even the QB guru is taking shots in order to save his own skin. Not that it’s not accurate, but it should be beneath him professionally to take shots at the guy who’s clearly on his way out the door.
