Interesting response from Dolphins HC Adam Gase on his decision to go for it on fourth down early instead of taking the field goal: "I'm going to do it a lot. That's how we're going to play." Basically, get used to it.

I like this Gase guy. Say what you want but this guy had the team play its heart out. Just need to learn how to close games. But I feel this team is headed the right direction.

no problem with it, just not sure I would have landry in the package trying to block next time

I'm starting to like Gase and the attitude he's bringing.

I like Gase. I hope he's able to get good personnel under his watch. Not likely with Tannebaum running things.

I love this mentality. You get in the redzone and you're that close, don't settle for a FG in that enviroment, just call a higher percentage play next time (cough, sneak, cough). They should put Marqueis Gray, Dion Sims and an extra tackle (or maybe Turner) in on those 4th and inches plays. Try and get some more leverage with big bodies.

Had we kicked a field goal, we might have won.

I didn't like that particular call.

I'd love this mentality if we had a QB who scored TDs often, but we dont. Take the field goal.

I like how he doesn't care what reporters or fans think and does what he thinks is best. I mean it's his job to keep or lose, and he is doing it his way,

Field goals are not 100% plays. Andrew Franks was an 80% kicker for us last season (which is good), but even with a good kicker there is the chance that you will have a miss or a block, as we saw with the later attempt at a 27 yard chip shot that we didn't make.

4th and 1 on the opposing end of the field, I would go for it 100% of the time. You will make enough of them that it will win you games in the long run.

Hopefully we can get used to a different result than the one on Sunday. I'm hopeful.

Dont have a problem with the decision, although the rule about how the Fins cannot use QB sneaks really sucks and its very unfair...

The decision was fine, the play call and execution (letting the play clock get to 2) were horrible. Anyone could see Seattle was baffled, we gave them enough time to get set.

Hindsight. Plus, we saw our kicker get a short FG blocked later in the game so there's certainly no guarantee he even makes it.

You don't get a lot of opportunities to score TD's against Seattle's defense. You have to be aggressive and that was a great decision to go for it. The poor decision was the play call. Had they run the QB sneak to Steen's right and/or not waited so long to snap it, they'd have converted. It's quite difficult to stop a QB from gaining a 1/2 yard on a sneak and there was a clear gap on Steen's right side. A QB of Tannehill's size and athleticism should have made it easily. It was certainly a higher percentage play than a slower developing conventional run --- something the offense struggled with all day long before and after.
