probably the most resilient since Shula’s days. I have some issues with Gase’s decision making, playcalling etc, but I highly doubt he gets canned by the end of the year or offseason. his ability to keep the players in the game, grinding etc is impressive and a significant quality in a coach. For this reason alone it would be prudent to stick with Gase for a few more seasons, because if he can work out some of his other isssues, get some more talent, we could be on to something

I agree, but I'm not sure it's enough. I did love how he put Drake right back out there on the next possesion after he almost blew the game for us.

That’s about the only thing Gase has going for him is being pretty good at home. Miami has now won 14 of their last 19 home games.

It is not chance we have so many plays of 20+ yards. He finds ways to isolate play makers. Players like McCain, Howard, Taylor, Minkah, Baker, Grant, and Godchaux are improving under his tutelage. He moves on from players that do not perform or do not fit the team concept. The team is headed in the correct direction.

I hated the call on the goal line. Man up and drive it in.

You have to be resilient when your worst enemy is your own head coach.

No.

Gase can coach. He sometimes outsmarts himself, but he can coach. Going back to Drake immediately after the fumble was a veteran move.

Also has a knack of winning a lot of one score games....although, we always seem to play in one score games or get blown out.

I didn’t say he can’t coach. I think we both agree that you’re your own worst enemy when you outsmart yourself. I was just ribbing him a little. My hats off to the whole team for the win.

I'd put it a different way. Let's face it we have a horseshoe up our butt in this Gase era, especially at home. It has reached the point I fully expect it to happen. I'm convinced Adam Gase doesn't even understand how lucky he has been in the close games and while trailing late at home. We have overcome bizarre odds so many times it is unfathomable.

Today when the Bears had the ball late in regulation I was convinced we would find a way to stop them, even if it didn't look logical. Yep...there's the fumble at midfield.

Then during overtime even after the Drake fumble once the Bears got inside our 40 I told family members we're still okay as long as Chicago is dunce enough to play conservative and think a long field goal is a cinch. I reminded of the Parkey miss for the Browns in 2016.

Besides, Parkey all day was not hitting the ball cleanly. He had that slice fade going even on extra points that were barely inside the right upright.

He had the identical ball flight on the 53 yarder so no kidding it missed well right. He didn't play it far enough left. Given that ball flight today he needed to start it at the left upright from that distance.

Frankly, I just wish some of our better teams from earlier eras had this type of extended good fortune in the tight games.

Maybe Kim Bokamper catches that deflection...

Gase obviously does a good job of instilling "Positive Expectation" in his players. To quote the iconic timeless motivator Napoleon Hill: "whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”

Too many "resilient" wins to write them off as an extraordinary streak of "luck"

I love how you try to downplay it like it's not a big deal.
Lol!
It is a big thing. Didn’t downplay it. Miami has been mediocre at home pre-gase. If gase deserves props, it’s for have the team amped and being a tough out at home.
