lorida's big night in The Swamp on Saturday included more than just the 34-7 victory over arch-rival Florida State.
After the game, three of the top high school prospects in the state committed to UF coach Urban Meyer in the post-game locker room.
The three who pledged to the Gators are St. Augustine cornerback Jacques Rickerson, Tampa Hillsborough quarterback/athlete Jarred Fayson and Zephyrhills wide receiver/defensive back Bryan Thomas.
UF now has commitments from 15 prospects and that number is expected to grow in the next few weeks.
Thomas, who also was considering Ohio State, told Scout.com that many of the recruits in attendance at Saturday night's game were cheering for the Gators and that more players will be committing to UF.
"The whole class of 2006 is going to bring new blood," Thomas told Scout.com. "It's going to be the best (UF) recruiting class yet. We are bringing a lot of size and speed to the table."
Fayson is one of the fast players in the state and is considered one of the nation's top recruits. He is choosing Florida or state rival Miami. Fayson is a quarterback at Hillsborough, but could play any number of positions at UF, including wide receiver or defensive back.
Rickerson is considered one of the state's top cornerback prospects. He also has scholarship offers from Auburn and Tennessee.
Rickerson is a cousin of Jacksonville Sandalwood wide receiver/defensive back Jamar Hornsby, who committed to the Gators two weeks ago.
"When Jamar commited that about did it for me," Rickerson told Rivals.com. "I've always felt at home at Florida."
