Neal Brown is a nonstarter here. He's a former UK player and while OC at UK talked mad **** about U of L. Tyra doesn't need to take that hit on a guy that's not really any better than other candidates.A lot of good choices out there. If I were you guys I'd go after Neal Brown
So yeah, things are going swimmingly in Louisville.
That's one legacy AD Tom Jurich will always have. He really screwed the pooch not firing Rick Pitino after the escort fiasco and hiring Bobby the second time, but the work he did for the nonrevenue sports here was amazing. The swimming program is outstanding (as you know). Baseball is excellent year in and year out. The golf program is always decent from year to year. That's the best trick in college athletics as a whole: if you can make sure none of the your nonrevenue sports are embarrassing, then as an athletic department you're doing pretty well. All that starts with hiring good coaches and Tom was very good at that. Coach Albiero is excellent.Good call. Mallory Comerford has short course worlds coming up in a couple of weeks.
Not sure if Taylor Ruck will swim the 200 for Canada in that one. If so, it could be an interesting preview of their expected showdown in the NCAA 200 final in March. Comerford is the two-time defending champion and basically intimidated Katie Ledecky from even entering that event last year. But Taylor Ruck is an entirely different story, given her length and ability on the turns. I might have to make Ruck the favorite. But right now it shapes up as the most anticipated event of the women's NCAA championships.
I think Notre Dame should play UCF for that final playoff spot. McKenzie Milton getting hurt is brutal but since UCF won't make the playoff College Football should just get rid of more than half of the football teams.
He got spooked about the move to the ACC. I'm guessing he felt he needed a proven coach to take the reins heading into the new league and made a lazy hire like you said. Brohm would have cut a few years off of the rebuild effort and fans would have bitched A TON less about the team during that time. Now, the next coach has their work cut out for them with fans and likely won't have the recruiting edge Brohm would have had in the first few years.Rehiring Bobby looked good early for Louisville but it did seem like a bit of a lazy hire at the time. Like Jurich wanted to make peace rather than do a full search

You were right,lou.....Satterfield it is.
He's the coach I said FSU should've hired in the FSU thread a while back.
