I heard rumblings on Monday Dolphins linebackers coach George Edwards is a legitimate candidate. I heard nothing new on the matter Tuesday, but he's another former coordinator and Bill Parcells kept him around when he went down to Miami, so that might also mean something to Coughlin.

If he would end up leaving, will will have lost both our linebacker coaches. Jim Reid already left for Virginia.

While I understand you can't create a bronze masterpiece out of clay, still after this season, losing both LB coaches IMO is "a blessing in disguise" - - without the "disguise!" Lets' consider Zach when filling one of those spots!

Why would anyone want anything to do with our coaches on the defensive side?

Excluding Bowles.

As long as Bowles, David Lee and our receivers coach stay - I'm Ok with that move

Well in all fairness you have to look at what the coaches had to work with. Cameron Wake and Jason Taylor (at times) aside you pretty much had a piss poor excuse of a MLB who does a better job running his mouth than hitting the correct gap and Joey " I come to play when I want to" Porter. Ayodele and Torbor didn't make much of a case either.

I am pretty disappointed in our entire linebacking core, sans Wake. We need 2-3 upgrades along the linebacking core IMO this offeseason, whether it be through the draft or F.A.

They shore up the linebacking core, that will make HUGE strides in improving this team.

we need all new coaches after this year

Too bad we couldn't demote PP back to LBs coach and bring in a more creative coordinator. Can't stand his predictable vanilla schemes.

Pepper could spice up Giants as new D coordinator

Tom Coughlin is looking for a coordinator who can return the Giants' defense to its former glory. And to do that, he might reach back into the Giants' past. Pepper Johnson, current Patriots defensive line coach, is not only a possible candidate, he would also be "very interested" in the job.

One day into NY Giants' defensive coordinator search and little clear yet

Romeo Crennel is interested in becoming the Giants' next defensive coordinator. But so am I. The real question is whether the Giants will be interested in Crennel - or anyone else who wants to pick up where Bill Sheridan failed. And from the sound of things it could be a while before Tom Coughlin reaches a final decision and comes up with a new hire.
