It isn't going to happen. There are 2 main reasons...

1. He won't make it past 6 to the Jets. Unfortunately we will have to face Gurley twice a year and that is going to suck.

2. Every move we have made the past couple of days screams that we are trying to trade down. Tannicky wants to get back that lost 3rd, or better, and will be looking for.a dance partner to trade down with. Not sure if one will be found but the moves made were to shore up holes with starters so we can trade down or take BPA.

So if Gurley was there, he is BPA, and we would take him. However, he is shooting up boards and will never make it out of the top 10.

The Jets need more than an RB. No pass rusher and their receiver position is questionable. That Oline is getting up in years as well.

Questionable pick.

I do agree that Gurley might not be there at 14.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Browns move up for Gurley possibly with the Raiders.

One could argue with holes at G, CB, LB and a need at wr it would be questionable for us to take take a RB.

Sure, but Miami is not picking 6. Pretty big difference.

Zero chance. 0.0

A talent like Gurley doesn't slide that far, especially ahead of schedule on rehab.

All the Jets holes can be filled later on. They lose nothing by taking Gurley since they aren't winning this year. However it gives them the best player going into 2016. Why wouldn't you take that?

Gurley is tempting for the Jets I'm sure . . . . but Todd Bowles needs another pass rusher for that defense and he'll probably have a handful to choose from at 6.

There is A LOT of smoke being thrown around by teams . . . don't be fooled by it. Dolphins show interest in Gurley, Jets are threatening to take him at 6. You really think these "sources" have credible information into what any of these teams are doing? It's gamesmanship.

The Jets need a QB or pass rusher first. Dumb pick...and I think Gurley is excellent.

Because Todd Bowles is a pass rusher away from having a top 5 defense.

Yea I get it . . . Geno Smith . . . you just never know how he'll adjust to the new system and honestly he looked pretty damn good against us in week 17.

They could be better than a lot of people think they will be. Jets can get a really good back in round 2/3.

I disagree by 3:

1. The Jets are seen as potentially trading up with the Raiders for QB.

2. The problem with the Dolphins trading down is will they get value for doing so?

3. The Dolphins can be seen as queuing up to take Hurley - he can get 2nd and 3 - 3rd and 3 carries....He can kill a clock at the end of a game...Miller cannot...

Gurley is a top 5 pick in most any draft - especially this one and the Dolphins have spoken of taking BPA...

So if Gurley is there its the Jets that will face the Gurley Man 2 times a year!

Man, I hope we do that trade with the Eagles.... #14 for #20, #84 and Brandon Boykin

What better way out of the available options to take pressure off Geno than have a killer RB? They were hoping Johnson might have been that guy last season, but the principle is a sound one and it probably stays the same.

I could see them being attracted by other options, but RB looks a pretty solid choice for them to me. The only thing in our favour is that high-pick RBs haven't generally worked out that well in recent years. There's no doubt the position is valued lower, in draft terms, than most others. I'm still not sure that'll be enough to have him there at 14 and really unlikely if we trade down.

No...I dream of Gurley....
