First off i would like to say how well i think we played. A young team played their hearts out and almost beat a more talented and highly thought of team.

Now for the main point i see alot of bashing of Ted Ginn. Stop it already i know you saw the same game i did and i know he only had two catches. But if you look at the camera angles they showed from the secondary Ginn not only had Revis a top 10-12 CB in the NFL but a safety over the top ALL DAY. So basicly he was doubled and even someone like Farve would have looked Ginn off with that kind of coverage its a sucker coverage just waiting for the safety to jump the route and pick the pass off. Why do you think our TE's had so many catches a majority of which were to Ginn's side? because the safety went to help on Ginn and our TE's are bigger and faster then their LB's. They went gonna let Ginn beat them with one big hit. So look at the bengals wr's carson had 99 yards passing aganist the ravens and he has 2 of the best WR in the NFL sometiems the coverage they run at a receiver just shuts them down.

Now for his punt returning i think that was dissapointing but you cant blame him totaly the one he let bounce YES you can but when you angling the punts and not giving him anything to work with then he cant do much. But i expect Ginn to have gotten an ear full and will be ready to show somethign aganist the Cards

I am a huge Ohio State fan, and I know all about Tedd Ginn Jr. He is NOT a #1 WR. He is not BIG enough. He would be a FANTASTIC slot WR. In college he was shut down every time we played a tough physical corner. His best use was in the slot and on end arounds. Look at the stud WRs in the NFL right now. T.O., Ocho Stinko, Randy Moss,Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston etc. They are ALL over 6' tall. The last play of the game illustrated that need clearly. Those fades in the corner of the endzone are NOT going to work for Ginn, and that's not how they used him at THE Ohio State University. We need a TALL, FAST WR. Chad Jackson has the speed and the height. I just don't know about his route running or his hands.

Reggie Wayne is 6' and under 200 lbs. He lines up almost exclusively out of the slot when Indy is in 3-wide (which is their base offense). He is definitely a very productive WR. Of course, we don't run Indy's offense, and we don't have Marvin Harrison and Anthony Gonzalez to line up along with Ginn either. BTW, Harrison and Gonzalez are the same size as Wayne, if not lighter.

And about the punt returns...how can he ever let one hit the turf? Then two in a row in the 4th quater? That was more disappointing than no-production-while-double-teamed.

I am a vey good Madden player, and I only use Miami. When I am playing against a team with a lock down corner, I move Ginn around to get mismatches. I can't believe guys who are n the NFL and are getting paid can't figure that out. PUT GINN IN THE SLOT!!

well the jets played inside position all day.taking away the post and deep slants.if we keep calling the plays they are set up to cover. no wr is going to catch the ball.they should have taken the quick outs until they played heads up.chad cant make those deep out throws.the jets just out coached us today.

For the people trying to say what we should do with Ginn in formations and what not are complete morons. Lets be the fans and let the strategy up to the coaches....and yeah cuz it worked in madden, it will work in real life. LOL

I think people will get off his back when he playes like the #9 overall draft pick and not before.

Bottom line: He's a talented young player who can still develop into an explosive, big play WR in the NFL.
HOWEVER, he's not a #1 caliber WR and he certainly was not/ is not worthe the money and draft status paid to him.
Man, I wish we had drafted Willis :rolleyes2:

Sorry, did not realize Madden and Real Life were identical :rolleyes2:

At any rate, you forgot to mention Ginn's offensive pass interference which has been debated alot on here. And like I said before, he should've did whatever it took to keep the ball out of Revis's hands. But as far as receiving goes, he was shut down.

I'm not denying he was shut down. I am saying when he does not have to skill set to be a #1 WR, who is matched up on the other team's best corner, you need to MOVE HIM AROUND TO CREATE A MISMATCH. Tedd Ginn in the slot on a LB or a 3rd corner is a matchup we can exploit. Any ROOKIE knows that.

I think Ginn is coming along as a WR but I am disappointed more with him as a PR or KR he backs off to much. Welker attack even if it was just for a yard. Ginn may take to the house more then Welker but Welker gets more years per return than Ginn and thats huge. Ginn is a part time threat as a returner at this point.

Ginn is a slot receiver used for posts and flies....to use his him on an X Y receiver basis means we are lacking talent in the WR corps. To those defending him as an XY receiver have it wrong, imo.

Dude, Ginn can't get OPEN. How can he be a #1 WR if he can't get OPEN?
