DC is driving me crazy. I want him to be the this awesome QB that we all need, but he HOLDS ON TO THE BALL GOD DAMN BALL TOO LONG, doesn't have good pocket presence, his foot work in the pocket is abysmal, he sure as hell can't even run away from 300 pound D linemen.

Trust me, I want this guy to do well, and I never like to ask for the 2nd string guy, but nasty thoughts a creeping into my brain... and I start to wish that Joey Harrington would come on to the field.... just to see... just to see.

I've watched over 10 games so far this season. Good quarterbacks know how and when, to throw the ball away when the play isn't there.

I don't remember seeing Daunte throwing it away once...

He was supposed to already know our offensive system because he played in it in MN. What happened?

The oline breaking down on pass blocking doesn't help either....its not all Daunte's fault.

It's not entirely Culpepper fault, but when he holds the ball too long, it only compounds the two weaknesses together. Both areas need to play better in my opinion....

Ps. Is it too early to call V. Carey a bust?? He sucks in my opinion....

PHINZ RULE!!!

The media played some of you for fools (no offense).

This system is far different & far worse than Scott Linehan's. Don't believe me? Ask the Bills fans who have been telling us all along. Mularkey is to conservative as beer is to alcohol.

I don't know about the scheme, but the playcalling sure as hell isn't the same. If Linehan were still calling the shots we would have thrown 10 deep balls so far this year. How many have we tried so far, 3?

What he said.

But DC is holding on to it because he is checking down. The recievers are not used to changing calls at the LOS. This is all new to them. DC is simply trying to find the open guy. I think once recievers understand everything completely, DC will be able to get rid of it sooner. We havent gone long at all because they are playing us up close because they know we are not all there upstairs as a team.

When there are 3 guys surrounding you, you cant just throw it anywhere, thats called intentional grounding. There have been two or 3 sacks he had any chance to throw it away, but its not that simple on the field, you have to know your out of the tackle box

There wasnt much wrong with the playcalling yesterday I hate to tell you. Mularky does need to use Ronnie B. more running the ball. We get #31 back soon.

The team just needs to execute better. And remember, DC is changing calls at the line sometimes so you have to be careful about blaming Mularky for everything.

Right. Good Quarterbacks can manage that element of their game.

Brady, Rothlesburger, even Plummer regularly are able to salvage field position by leaving the box and throwing he ball away. Daunte isn't poised enough to even do that right now. He has to be more aware when protection breaks down and run to the side and get rid of the ball.

Daunte holding onto the ball is really nerve wrecking for sure...but you know what really kills it for me?

Watching a defensive lineman go COMPLETELY UNTOUCHED while our offensive lineman (whoever) just stands there and does a half spin as the DL goes on to sack the QB!!!!

I might bite my tongue off if I see this again!! Its like WTF is going on in the OL's head?? I'd rather he HOLD the DL and get called for the foul!

When there are 2 people coming from your left and 1 from your right, where do you suppose he should run to get out of the box?

Plain and Simple the O-line has been terrible, flat out terrible.
