get some new offensive linemen please!!!

seriously this offensive line looked terrible today. We had no running game and frerotte was rushed way to much. Its not just the coaching its the players!! Houck is a good coach it is just hard to work with what we have. We need to get some new offensive linemen next year

Yeah nobody is really safe on this OL other than Vernon Carey. Rex Hadnot isn't safe, Seth McKinney isn't safe, Jeno James not safe...the coaches keep rotating McIntosh and McDougle with Carey as the go-between, because McIntosh can't handle premier passrushers, and Stocker keeps shooting us in the foot with penalties.

I agree - Brown had little or no room to work with all day, the blitz pickups weren't good...it's just frustrating watching this group play. Carey is the best lineman we have, these issues must be addressed for Carolina next week or Peppers will be wreaking havoc all day.

To be honest, if we completely rebuild the O-Line next season, it will be just as bad. Players need time to mesh together. They need to know each other and how each one plays. Bringing in brand new people might kill whatever chemistry is left on that O-Line after this season.

Finally....Someone with sense..... You all need to understand, this is a NEW TEAM.... New Coaches, New Players....They need some time to gel together.....

It's time to stockpile draft picks... I think that Carey and Hadnot are still here in about two years, with free agent pickups and draftees filling out the rest of the line. Maybe we can put off drafting a QB for one more year? I hate to say it but we may need a D'Brickshaw Ferguson on this team more than Omar:cry:

I saw Ferguson play some this weekend vs. Syracuse. The man is an absolute mountain. We'll have to be pretty bad to be in a position to get him, though.
Omar is only a junior- no telling if he'll come out or not.

Has Frerotte been sacked yet this year? I think maybe once, I'm not sure. Anyway, they need to get the running game going if we're going to be successful. Pass blocking has been above average, but we need to create bigger holes to run so the pass can be set-up.

Actually there was one point where McDougal replaced Carey as well. None of them were good let's not pretend Carey is safe.
