2. You are 27 years old. You played five years for the Lions before coming here. Have we yet to see the best of Louis Delmas?
LD: Definitely not. Definitely not. No way. No chance. I’ve had my ups and downs in my career. I started off very well and then I hit a down point. I’ve had setbacks. Last year was better. I’m 27, but I’m just getting younger, getting younger all the time. Deep down, I just know the best is yet to come.

7. How would you describe the way you play?
LD: With reckless abandon. I’m like a wrench. Sometimes you use me to tighten up a bolt. Sometimes you use me to fix an entire house. Sometimes you use me to put a screw in the wall. I’ll do whatever it takes to win. I love contact. I love hitting. I love knocking the ball loose. I love making plays.

Thanks for posting JC. This guy will either be a nice upgrade from Clemons or someone who gives up lots of big plays and penalties because of his self stated "reckless abandon"
Hoping for the first one.

So, he gave the wrong answer to the first question. Have we yet to see the best of Louis Delmas? The answer should have been most definately.

It was a poorly phrased question and if you fail to hear or comprehend the "yet" then you would answer the first question the way he did.

He's 27 but has the mileage and body of a 34 year old with terrible knees.

Great talent but he plays so violently that he can't stay healthy. Straight from the Bob Sanders mold.

Well now I know who to call when I need a screw put in with a wrench....

Yup definitely not a construction worker this guy...

Ya know... technically you can use an Allen wrench to drive bolts and screws.

Just sayin'

Well, at least he did not say duct tape. :)

And how would one do that? :)

I think he means that in a pinch, you can use the end of the wrench to pound nails into a wall. I mean hell, my mom used to use this old-ass metal ice cream scooper to put nails into the wall because it had more surface area than a hammer.

Easy, boys ...

He's just trying to promote the new book that he wrote the forward to:

Come to think of it, as funny as it sounds, I think if I had to chose between duct tape or a set of wrenches for all around duties, I might go with duct tape...lol
