When the time comes for the Dolphin's game in London, I hope we'll be able to know definitively whether this was a home game for the Phins or an away game. Hopefully the Londoners in attendance will be wearing team colors to make it easy for us.

As for me, I highly doubt that the game will be a home game for us in reality. Though the Dolphins supposedly have a strong fan base throughout the country and abroad, if you went to a Giants message board you will find that they believe their team does as well. Most of the fan bases in the NFL believe that their teams are well represented outside of their home cities, in fact.

This isn't the end all of the argument, but consider this:
does anyone really think there aren't more people from New York in London than there are from Miami?

I honestly couldn't care less how it breaks down.

Go to London, win the game. If we're truly better than the Giants, then it's that simple.

It's nice that you don't care

Don't comment then. This is for fans who care that their team is getting screwed out of a home game.

I have the capacity to care about more than one thing at once

Since you can't, don't hijack my post.

It's bad form to reply to a post only to say you don't care about the issue.

Its going to be a nuetral crowd. You will probably have 5,000-10,000 fans for each team composed of Americans who travelled for the game and British fans of either team. That leaves 70,000 fans that are just football fans and want to check out a regular season game. I dont think you are going to see a crowd advantage for either team.

I have mates in and from England. They know of no one who is rooting for NY. Then again, they are Dolphans.

I think that to be a fair assumption to be honest. if you go back to the 80's when the game first took off over here they would have been two well supported sides along with the 49 ers, Chicago and the Raiders.

But one thing for sure is there will be 90,000 people cheering on two teams that probably will have never played in front of a crowd so big in the regular season---me included :D

Having said that there were alot more Fin fans than 49 er fans, last time I seen them at Wembley.

i think it'll be a majority dolphins crowd...

the fins seem to have a much more nationwide fanbase than the Giants... and one can assume this would be the same ratio as you talk about worldwide...

It is going to be mostly Dolphin fans. Not sure where I read this, but Miami is the most popular team in England.

It doesn't matter how many dolphin fans are there it still isn't a home game. Nothing like sleeping in your own bed the night before a game.

I think the fins probably have a better foreign fanbase ,but who knows maybe alot of New Yorkers decide to go.

ask the players while they're on the plane across the atlantic whether or not they feel this will be a home game.

a friend of mine is from england and he said we have a huge fan base over there.
