He would be an upgrade over Skylar but that really isn’t saying much. He’s truly an insufferable QB to watch though lol. Watched him a lot in the ACC and didn’t think he was worth more than a late round flier, was puzzled at his draft hype. He should keep the family in NY and sign with the Jets.

I would too. Not sure if his skills translate to the type of offense we run.
Maybe he wants an opportunity to start so he can rebuild his image and get back in the market in 2025.
Cowboys or Raiders might offer him a chance to start right away.

I don't think he will come here. He probably wants to go somewhere he has a better chance at playing time. I also wonder if he would be a good fit for this offense. His skill set seems different from Tua's.

He has a pretty good chance of playing in between Tua concussions, could be any games now

Jones is not a starting QB, but as a backup?

I hate the "This guy was just released, how about having him come in" posts, but if we brought him in, we might find with our running game, and receivers, he might be a good possible backup...If he's interested.

Now way he gets the opportunity to start. But...if he embraces a backup role and gets into a good situation, he can make a career for himself. God knows he already got the money. I do think he has enough talent to be a backup and say in the league for a while.

I get what some of you guys are saying, about he would want to go somewhere and get playing time... but are teams really going to be knocking down his door with starting offers?
