Forgot about that one. But I have seen Ginn take a direct snap in the red zone and run it in while at OSU. I remember David Woodley's reception for a TD back in the day... wouldn't it be great to see Penny take one to the house?

Sparano in his presser said we just scratched the surface of the formation and that he has thoughts of different people fulfilling different roles.

I think the 2008 season will be Henning's farewell tour. If it was a gadget play, I might not be as inclined to think so, even with Henning contemplating retirement before BP called. But if Sparano plans to build upon it, the writing is on the wall.

they wont fire him but im sure they will promote someone to the spot and tell henning that they want to start putting the yougn and future OC in place.

BTW, Ginn will be next to play that Spot and RB will be hte guy com ing across ala RW did. cuz ginn has ran that before and usually he has in the goalline situation.

You got it and that man will be David Lee!

Ginn played some QB in his career... you can definitely build things with him:

- hand it to ricky and reverse to ginn with brown as a lead block
- hand it to ricky and reverse to ginn and throw it to brown
-brown throwing a bubble screen to ginn
-motion ricky AND ted, ricky cracks the EMOL and run a sweep on that side with ted ..

etc etc, i came with those in a second, imagine what this staff has in store heh

Just to throw some more options out there, Davone Bess used to play QB as well. Henne used to play LB, so he may actually be a hard guy to take down if you threw it to him while he was lined up at receiver.

This team has alot of weapons with players like Ginn and Brown.

Wouldnt it be sweet to see Ginn throw a TD like Randle El did in the SB?

Good find Vaark. I'm pretty sure opposing teams won't be expecting Ginn to fling it.

I get the feeling that we have seen the last of that formation....at least for awhile. I know Sparano said something to the contrary, but if I wanted to make people think about game planning for it, I'd say the same thing. Any time they spend game planning for the Wild Hog, they aren't planning for the regular offense. However, here's to the "Hook and Ladder", the "Statue of Liberty" or even the "Fumbleroowki". Throw them all in there. Use to love to see Dan run the "Flea Flicker". If we can out-talent them, let's out-gimmick them.

we may not see that formation for a while, but I think they should be able to find some way to use Ginn's speed.

I tend to agree with "not seeing it." I think that they may pull it out sometime in the future...when we really need it...but I can't see this becoming a staple of our offense.

It was really cool though!!!!
