I don't think this is going to happen any time soon but I was reading some comments that were just made by NFL fans in general and one said that Ginn is a better DB in his opinion and with that speed it reminded him exactly of Champ Bailey which when I read that I got a pretty good feeling inside for a second...but i don't know I mean they are similar in body structure and everything. champ is just a tiny bit heavier thats all...Anyways i also read that he's athletic enough to be that type of corner possibly and of course PR/KR. Man what a stud we can possibly have...

Anyways what do you guys think? not just now but for his future in the NFL? is it even a possibility? or is he just a receiver for life, end of story?

Those that can catch, play wide receiver, those that can't play DB. :)

Sometimes it actually goes like this:

Those who aren't afraid to tackle play corner, those who are play receiver.

Dre Bly comes to mind as a corner with receiver type hands.

I just don't want to see him used like Hester was at the U. No true, natural position. Moving him around all the time so he can never get comfortable in a system, etc. Find him a position, stick with it and be done. If it doesn't work out, then maybe move him but give him a chance to prove himself first.

I'm no professional, but you need "instincts" to play corner.
It's either you have them, or you don't.

Champ Baily is a Ballhawk. I don't think you can learn that.

Ginn is gonna be a nice playmaker for us this year in spots on offense and gamechanger on special teams. How much that will help make up for our o-line and QB remains to be seen.

I got my first chance to see Ginn up close last nite and I think he has more of an NFL DB body than that of a WR.

i recall from one of the TC sessions an underthrown ball and ginn being all over the defender to break up the INT. it ended up Offensive Interferance, but sounds like good instincts to me

He can play QB too b/c he is faster than Vick!

Cam is an offensive guy he's going to want speedster like Ginn playing on his side of the ball.

Ginn is rediculas at DB. He has the natural instinct to play coner, just look back at the 2004 ARMY all american game, best high school football players from the nation and he shut down the whole left side of the field. He also won MVP for that game. Guy is full of talent.

Ginn was the #1 rated DB coming out of high school, so he can definetely play the position at a high level.

Not exactly, means he could pay Cb in high school at an elite level.

Ryan Moore, Marcus Vick and brock Berlin were all top level players coming out of high school at at this moment are on the outside looking in.

Ginn is to short @ 5'-11" to play DB at a high level(he is listed some places @ 6'-0" including ESPN who also list him @ 5'-11" in another place i tend to belive 5-11 more)
