Ginn "pain free"

This is great news. Isn't it ironic that Ted Ginn is about 95% and practicing with his team in early June while another first round pick - Robert Meachem of the Saints - came to camp overweight, injured, and is scheduled to have surgery and miss 4-6 weeks. I didnt hear anyone scrutinizing him after the draft, but there was plenty of criticism to go around for Ted. At this rate, theres no doubt that he will be 100% at training camp.

That would be fantastic.

You are right, a lot of the criticism had to do with the fact he was hurt, and it looks like maybe those criticisms won't bear out (which is great news).

The second criticism was drafting a PR/KR at #9 that maybe wasn't polished enough, big enough, etc. to play at WR. I don't think this will bear out (which is also great news).

The biggest criticism was passing on Quinn for Ginn. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that Quinn will end up a better QB than Beck and this pick will haunt us for years, no matter how wonderfully Ginn performs.

It is really going to take a miracle for Ginn to be a successful WR and PR/KR man, AND for Beck to be better than Quinn. The only way Ginn will be fully accepted is if ALL of that happens and that is asking a lot IMO.

I hope it pans out that way but I don't really believe it will. I hope like mad that I am wrong.

I just hope Ginn and the guys around him don't celebrate after scoring a TD.....just be like Barry Sanders, score like you have been there before, and flip the ball to the ref.

Excellent stuff. Ted Ginn is going to play such a big role in the Dolphins success this year whether it's blantently obvious or not. He will have an enormous effect on special teams/field position whether it's ripping off huge returns, or teams taking shorter punts just to avoid him. All of that, and I haven't even begun to mention the big plays he'll make on offense and the tremendous ability he has to open things up for Chambers and co.

Our WR corps is going to really be a strength this year. If the OL can even play average, and Trent can get back to form, this offense could be downright good. Chambers, Ginn, Booker, Hagan make a nice foursome that would be hard to stop. Add in L. Booker and R. Brown and the Phins offense might rock.

I can't wait.

GO PHINS~!

I don't want to be skeptical of you, but if I recall correctly, you were one of the guys that was harsh on the Fins and didn't think much of them towards the end of the year.

You have no idea how much it excites me to see those opinions changed to positive thoughts. I couldn't agree more about our WRs. I'm so excited for Chambers, Hagan and Ginn to make plays this year. Booker will be solid, but it's the other 3 I can't wait to see. You're dead right, it's all on the OL. We have the peices in place with Green, Chambers, Book, Ginn, Hagan, Brown and Schlesginer (sp?) If we keep Trent upright and open lanes for Ronnie, playoffs, no doubt!

You officially just got me JACKED UP for the 2007 season. :dolphins:

You are exactly right, I was down on them last year, and they were downright dreadful. Luckily for us fans, they have replaced most of the offense which gives us fans reason to HOPE for this year. My only concern at this point is the OL.

Funny, in the pic it looks like he's hurtin'.
