Ginn pick doesn't replaces welker, it replaces chambers actually. Sorry guys...

For all you all claiming that our pick was to replace Welker, well its not. He won't likely replace chambers this season but he will replace Chambers as our starting wr in his 2nd season. Ted Guinn Jr. might not be the best route runner but I watched him for a while and he is the best play maker in the draft. Calvin Johnson is great but Ted Guinn is just a very solid all around player. He has blazing acceleration and speed and its hard to catch. If you watch plays he has made during this draft, he has outrun most of the top ranked corners in some games. One of the reasons why Troy Smith won the Heisman is because of this man.​

There are a few problems here, Booker is on the trade block so it sounds like Tedd Guinn has been drafted to be an immediate impact in this franchise. I can't speak for the rest of our picks but this is a solid pick in disguise. Shea worked with quinn so I guess that was a decision not to draft him in the last minute.


We need explosiveness and this man is explosive off the scrimmage. Chambers is not explosive and neither is booker or Hagan.

I got news for ya bud. This pick was not to replace anybody. This pick was to add what we didnt have. Implying that Ginn is replacing anyone is a completely false statement. You have to have something to replace something. I love Chambers, but he is not a playmaker. Ginn Jr. was brought in to take advantage of Cams offense and have an explosive player who can be used in many diff ways. Speed kills, and now with the addition of Booker the Phins have a few nice new weapons.

He doesn't replace Chambers. He allows Chambers to play from the slot, where CC has been most successful. Ginn will mostly play from the flanker position and, along with Beck's cannon, force opposing defenses to defend the deep portion of the field.

You coudn't be more wrong! This does replace Welker in the return game and will replace Welker/Booker in the receiving game. It also will TAKE PRESSURE off of Chambers and let him roam in different positions on the field. Ginn's speed will be such a threat that double teaming Chambers won't happen as much anymore. Ted Ginn is not a #1 receiver right now, maybe in a few years but not now.

Chambers not as explosive?? There are (2) knocks on Chambers that have nothing to do with explosivness. #1 he drops balls and #2 he gets bored playing in one of the most boring offenses in the league and takes himself out of games. Talk all you want about Booker/Welker etc..but niether of those 2 guys are EVER double teamed. Does Chambers need to work on some things, sure, but I assure you Ted Ginn Jr. doesn't REPLACE Chris Chambers.:cooldude:
