Ginn should return every kick and every punt, and he should be on the field for EVERY SINGLE offensive snap this season.

If he doesn't put up decent numbers, then he's had his chance.

And this is the perfect year to risk him not putting up decent numbers, cuz we suck.

He has the most upside of any of our players.

Throw him in the water, leave him there all season and see if he sinks or swims.

I bet he starts to swim. I don't care if Davone Bess is shiftier, where were Bess's crazy college return highlights?!?!?

Sparano, stop trying to overthink this. "Shiftier" this..."better after the catch" that.

Enough!

PUT IN GINN!

yeah might as well let him play this year, so you know what you need to get next year

Why, so he can let more punts bounce in front of him when noone is near him???

The guy has got to learn to make better decisions and to take a hit. I believe the coaches were sending him that message this week....I just hope he got it.

i loved sparano the whole preseason but im not gonna lie about hating him now.i have no idea what this guy thinks. tedd ginn is the best pr/kr on this team.and ronnie brown is the best rb on this team hands down. and chad pennington might be the worst qb on this team. this guy is really starting 2 piss me off now and i hope he changes his philosophy and gets this thing going in the right direction quick. i mean at least cam lost games by 3. and i am in no way comparing him 2 cam.

He doesn't need a chance. He's not an NFL player at all. He doesn't have the mental makeup. Ask Ohio State fans about how dumb this kid is. He showed out in the Big 10 which is a mediocre conference where their only real competition was Michigan. Michigan people...come on. We all knew that drafting this guy was a JOKE. Don't sucker yourself into thinking that Ted Ginn can ever be anything more than a punt returner. I say we cut him now and give someone else a chance to catch Chad Pennington's 17 yard bombs.

17 yard bombs LOLOL thats pretty funny... i still dont think we should give up on him... he has speed and pretty soft hands.. i think he jus needs to work more on route runnin and be given more chances.. mayb throw to his side more even if its tight coverage

i mean wat makes him such a bad player ?? jus because he was thrown the ball at the end of the game wit the game on the line ?? not many receivers his size get asked to go for a jump ball in the end zone that is jus simply not his strength... how about putin mayb a 6'4 guy we have on our team who will have height advantage over almost any corner in the league try to make that catch

I not only think he should be in every play, I think he should get the ball every play. Lets throw it to him all four quarters and finnally decide if he is anygood. If he has a bad game at least we will know he is a bust and we can release him and start throwing the ball to the next guy on the list every down. I think it's the only way we are going to find out if these guys are special or not, and it is the only way we are ever going to win a game.

I think sparano must put him in the game, but that was a lesson for ginn jr, play and hard, but no question that we must play him this year.

In other subject, I prefer pennington 10 yard throw without many interception than a bomb to 50 throw and interception about 10 or 15 thrown.

I gotta say, it was depressing watching DeSean Jackson tonight. In college football the last few years there were 4 guys who stood out in the open field -- Reggie Bush, Devin Hester, Ted Ginn and DeSean Jackson. Sickening that we got the one guy who can't seem to transfer his skill set to the pros.

I guess he's too much of a weaver. Someone put it well here yesterday, that he lacks quickness and elusiveness but has top end speed. He's also not competitive enough. That play at the end of the Jets game was pathetic. Knock it down. It reminded me of Marty Booker, who used to allow every possible interception.

We need to find some way to get Ted Ginn going north and south and put the ball in his hands. Henne makes more sense in that regard than Pennington or Beck. Ginn might not blossum until the job is Henne's.

I agree with all this.

Ted needs more fire, but I think that might come with success.

Most importantly, Ted needs a big armed quarterback. He has a blazing 100 yard dash, and 40, but not 10. That's why he doesn't get separation out of his breaks and is rarely open. We need someone like Henne to find those options underneath with our other receivers, TEs and RBs and take AT LEAST a few deep shots to this kid.

He will never get caught from behind, so why not try to get him the ball while he's ahead?!?

You're right, we'll have to wait for Henne.

Ted Ginn does not belong on the field unless he earns it in practice. You don't develope in games. You develope your skills in practice, you perform in games. This coach is giving these players a lesson in accountability. Playing time in a game is earned, not given.
