Give Culpepper some time. It's my honest opinion that he is still recovering from the injury, which is making his game look horrible. It certainly doesn't help that the offensive line absolutely sucks. If he doesn't look any better in two games, then I would consider pulling him but only because he obviously needs some time to heal. That, or the ineffective o-line play will get him re-injured.
That's my opinion, for now anyway. I have to say things need to improve in a big way before we lose too many more games or this season will be another bust. I've been a fan of this team for many, many years (since the late 60s) and although the last several years of lost expectations wears on me, I've got no other choice; this is my team and I'll stick with them forever. Having said all of that, I have become somewhat numb to this team falling short, year after year (after year). I guess you just get used to it after awhile.

I can't believe people that say give Culpepper time. Are you kidding me? So us fin fans are suppose to wait for years and years of losing seasons for the old Culpepper to show up. I say show the guy to the bench! Even Marino said it on his post game show - " the guy is holding onto the ball way to long and not finding the open receivers." Even on Sirius radio the pro football commentators were saying that over two years C - pep has had 67 sacks. He is not a good quarterback at all and Nick is an idiot for picking him instead of Breez or Mcnair.

thank you. finally someone with a good post! did anybody see how slow daunte looked while scrambling yesterday. he's not 100%, but our offensive line is horrible. sure daunte made some bads plays, but so did the rest of the team. also, mike mularkeys play calling is pretty bad.

years? the guy has only played a couple of games. how do u find open receivers when your o-line cant block a freakin thing? seriosuly though, do u even watch football?

We gave him plenty of time in Minnesaota. FACE IT, HE SUCKS. That's what I've been trying to tell you all since last May. I can't understand why some of you still don't get it. How many game does he have to cost you? And before you say he's just rusty, remember last year before he got hurt? HE SUCKED.
Remember 01,02, 03?? HE SUCKED.
It's so much fun watching Suckpepper "get his roll on" for someone else:sidelol:

 @ years and years . . . . . . we are just now going into week 3 . . . year 1 of the Daunte era. And personally I'm still excited to have a QB out there with the tools to possibly take us where I want us to go. Consider it a bonus that CPep is starting now and not going thru this NEXT year when he would definetly be given the reins . . . because if u honestly think Joey H would have made a significant difference in these 2 games u are sadly mistaken. We are fortunate to have Culpep getting these reps and PT now . . . this is NOT a Super Bowl team, and maybe CC built up some Fin Fans with that quote he had . . . .but we are a work in progress w/ potential who needs more and more game time and I'm 100% sure will improve . . . no worries in my mind.

Stop being misled because the other 2 QB's got off to good starts . . . its not how u start the season . . . its how u finish the season . . . and honestly, those 2 teams haven't played anybody yet (Tampa looks like a train wreck).

This org has 30 yrs without going to the superbowl. I think we may be getting a little frustrated.

i must admit.. it does take time for a QB to adjust to a new team... too bad they didnt play more in preseason... techinically I'll give Cpep till the bye week. But really.... I'll give him til the Pats game. They've already beaten the Jets and Bills....That Pats game is now a MUST win.

Put this in another post as well, but, here we go: The offensive Line does not suck. Timing is off granted and they need a lot of work, but, lets stop shifting the blame, where it only partially belongs.

Culpepper had enough time on 4 of the 7 sacks yesterday to throw the ball away. Instead he held onto it and got sacked. That is his fault, he is a veteran Quarterback and knows what it means to throw the ball away rather than hurt the team with lost yardage.

The O-line did a good job on our drive at the end of the first half too, until Culpepper threw the ball to triple coverage because no one was open instead of throwing it away. What a momentum shift that was.

As for Culpepper being hurt or not at 100%, than why is he in there!!! We have a capable back-up who we need to utilize.

Some of you fans really need to wake up. If you think that the old pro bowl C- Pep is going to suddenly show up for the fins then you are sadly mistaken. I think a lot of the C- PeP supporters are the same idiots that kept saying give Fielder one more year. (haha) Its clear that Nick Saban is far from a god and he made the biggest mistake of his coaching career when he picked C- PeP instead of Breez or Mcnair.

I give Culpepper one more game. I saw the game against buffalo, and I believe that it was his fault that we lost. Buffalo did nothing, we beat ourselves. At halftime, Culpepper needed to make the proper adjustments to get the offense back into the game. He did not. I do not believe we should of considered putting Harrington into the game, its to early in the season to start that kind of crap. Our offensive line isn't a pro bowl calibur type, but for the most part, they gave Culpepper plenty of time to find the open receiver. How can you have legitimate weapons at tight end, wide receiver, and running back and not score at least 21 points against a team that will probably finish last in the division? The better team lost yesterday because we still have the same problem that we have had since Marino left, inconsistent quarterback play that keeps a good veteran defensive unit on the field to long. I know Culpepper is a running quarterback, but he doesn't have to be that way in this talented offense. I still believe that he will get it together so that we can make a playoff run, but he needs to play faster with his decision making rather than his legs.

the OL does not suck, granted they didn't play too well at the start of the game, but they got into a rythm and gave Culpepper plenty of time. He was missing open receivers and holding the ball WAY too long. BTW, Brees and Carson Palmer are winning games, and they got hurt much later than Daunte. He's had plenty of time, he's just sucking now

How much time? until we are realistically out of the playoff hunt?
Is DC at 75% better than Harrington at 100%? I don't think so

Question is, do you? O-line had breakdowns in the 1st quarter, but got better afterwards.
He had ample opportunity to make plays and he fell on his face repeatedly after that 1st quarter.
