come on its his first season with the oldest and most banged up defense in the league not to mention remember gus is a fill in qb only, look the players saban have drafted have all made strides and impact for the future r.brown m.roth t.daniels plus i belive m.wright once he learns the game will be awesome for us. give him some time we are a poor team face it our top players arent top anymore cause they are getting old and injured so until saban can work with his players fully adapt to his system quit tripping out. and all you people who doubt saban remember this he was the best candidate available so stop crying there was no one better we could have signed on as coach.lets pray we can get b.quinn and a real #1 wr and dump chambers or relagate him to #2 behind someone who will take command of the field.

I suggest he contact GEICO. He can a real good break on his car insurance.

P.S. Yeah, Dolfans should cut him some slack. This is a rebuilding "process".

Long term, Saban will elevate the Dolphins to a playoff contending team. To judge after half a season in his first year is just plain rediculous.

i hate alll these fair wheather fans saying that hes like wannesdtant or however you speel his name

For all the Saban bashers lets look at what he accomplished already in his short stay. He let Spielman go. He brought in Randy Mueller who has got an eye for college quarterbacks. Nick is brought in better coaches to the team. Our Oline has gotten better. He will get players that want to play his way, and that may take another year with free agency, and the draft, but it will happen. The salary cap next year we will be in great shape! He also put a halt to trading away our high draft picks. Give the man a break! How many of of you sofa coaches could do better after several months on the job? Things will get better just be patient, and give the man some space to work.:beerbang:

Good post! Run on sentence of the year. Quinn would be so big for our future along with a bigtime wideout that plays with passion and attitude. I think Saban was the best choice at the time and I'm sure, given time, he'll make champions out of the Dolphins.

I'm curious. What strides have you seen from Matt Roth, Manny Wright and Anthony Alabi?

Forgive me if I'm not as patient as the rest of you. I have been waiting for a Super Bowl win since 1978.

Good post, and you forgot to mention Channing Crowder. Roth will be a solid, not great, but solid DE in the future. Daniels will hold his own. R. Brown is going to be a very good running back for years. Ricky is ricky, and might get us an extra draft pick. The O-line is better than it has been in years, and there are no real additions there.

We will be fine in time. Saban is very smart, and he has the right people buying into his system. Look at the teams that have been steady contenders, not one year wonders. The Steelers, Patrioits, Eagles etc. They have systems that have taken time. Give Saban a few years. If we get a QB the caliber of B. Quinn, and a few more additions, we will be there year in and year out...

Just my opinion.

for some reason, unbeknownst to me, some of the fans here expected Saban to turn the crap we have into playoff talent in one year. Not realizing that we are nothing more than a 4-12 team with a little makeup on in the off-season. Adding a few pieces that really wouldn't make much of a difference more than 2-3 wins. If those fans want to continue to be that way, and now knock Saban. Then fine, but when he finally does turn us around i'm sure they'll be back on the bandwagon kissing his @$$ like nothing ever happened....it's nature.

And Alex Smith has done what.. How long did it take for the mighty Farve to earn a starting spot.

We would love every player to become an instant superstar ans compete and comtribute. But thats not reality.
