Give the farm to the Steelers

It isn't a matter of how close we are to winning the super bowl or whether we are in 'Rebuilding mode' or not.

The best teams win with DRAFT picks.

The Steelers DRAFTED Plax, Santonio and Wallace, they LET them leave when they cost more than they were worth.

Look at the Packers and Saints wrs.

Insane. Pittsburg has basically (with the signing of Brown) told Wallace that he won't be a Steeler next year, at least for the money he wants. This means a couple of things. If a team were to trade for him they should not need to sell the ranch. However, if Wallace wants to make money this year he needs to show up at some point, giving the Steelers some trade leverage. However, even if you were to get him for a deal the facts are that he will still demand to be paid. And a contract that big does not make a lot of sense for the Phins this year or next.

Jesus Christ did anyone watch our preseason game and come away with the conclusion that we are only a great wr away from the super bowl?
I would love to have Wallace at the right price. If it's a 3rd round pick I'd do that in a minute. But, I totally agree with you. It looks like the secondary may need a complete overhaul. We still don't know if there is a pass rusher opposite Wake. Too many questions to trade the farm for one guy.

What good is giving up a 3rd rd pick if it requires giving him a Larry Fitzgerald type of contract? I don't think he is worth that kind of scratch ... and neither to the Steelers. How often has a blockbuster trade and new contract worked for an NFL team? Roll with what we got and draft one next year or sign a FA like Bowe.

Let's develop our own Wallace. I'm done trading away high round picks.

wllce is another headace...him coming to miami will make him even worst its too much pu**y out here for any athlete to concentrate

Unlike most on here I'm ok with trading for players we need even when we are not a Super Bowl caliber team. That said, no WR is worth trading the farm. If we can get a good deal from a team with too many good WR's, then we should take it. Otherwise, we should look to the cuts that are being made, as there should be some pretty decent talent that doesn't make a roster on the initial round of cuts that could make our roster. Then, next year, we know what our draft priorities should be (WR, secondary)

We have our QB. No more "giving the farm" threads, please. I like our farm :woot:
