No fancy two halfback sets, lets just line up Barnes & Ronnie and bash away. We know the Pats are going to make shutting down the run job one, lets just bash it right at em. Mix it up with some screens to Ricky. We all know we are going to have to take our shots are their depleted pass D, this should loosen them up for some big strikes.

Ronnie is a work horse, i say put the game in his hands...he deserves a crack at it. Everyone seems to think there is no way to run againt eight man fronts, i don't think they can stop him. Not to count if we can get them real caught up in the Ronnie show, its gotta loosen up the twenty yard strike.
 
we should at least be running the ball more times than we throw it....and we haven't been doing that consistently. Make it like the old Ricky days where we hand it off 42 out of 60 times. Frerotte should not have the game in his hands, he's not capable of coming through. If the Phins throw the pigskin more than they run it again i'll be very upset.

Actually 30 "touches" is very smart, I wouldnt hand it off to him 30 times. But 20-25 carries and a few passes his way, with Ricky getting 10-15 carries is just what we need to do. One it keeps our defense off the field, and two the more those two RB's pound on them the more they will wear down. Opening things up for the passing game!

Thats what i was thinking. I want to have the ball in his hands at least 30 times, 5 via pass or screen. He could have a breakout game, but he has to have the ball.
 
Ideally I'd like to see 20 carries for Ronnie, 18- Ricky, and 2 for Morris.
 
Any combination of our running backs getting more than 30 carries would be a big help to winning this game. personally i would hope we can get ronnie about 20 and rick/morris10 -15....not counting screens.NO MORE REVERSES!!! At least for two games or so!

yes, he hasn't hit the rookie wall yet and he will and there is no real need to overwork him as long as Ricky is healthy. I keep the hope alive we will be stronger in December than September.

Nicky, I like your thought but for me the numbers are too high. JMO boys.

I hear ya man...I just really think Ronnie can do some major league damage Sunday, if given the chance.
