Sat, 11 Mar 2006 23:12:28 -0800
John McClain, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/140">Houston Chronicle, reports free agent WR David Givens (Patriots) has canceled his visit with the Houston Texans Sunday, March 12. Reports out of New England late Saturday evening, March 11, were that Givens had decided to re-sign with the New England Patriots.

EDIT

Texans | Givens on his way to visit
Sun, 12 Mar 2006 06:43:05 -0800
<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/164">Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports agent Brad Blank said a Houston Chronicle report saying free agent WR David Givens (Patriots) has re-signed with the New England Patriots was erroneous and that Givens was still flying to Houston Sunday morning, March 12, to meet with the Houston Texans. Blank said "anything is possible" at this stage.

I didn't want him too much but I didn't want him to re-sign...

It's too bad he didn't leave the Patriots because I'm all for whatever hurts them. Maybe they vastly overpaid.

I think that this can only mean that Miami wasn't offering enough money or a guarantee to be the #2 WR over Marty Booker. He had dinner with Saban Saturday night and apparently he immediatly decided to re-sign w/ the Pats right after that. That's the only thing I can figure.

Who cares! I'd rather they look other places than just our div's leftovers anyway.

How awful!!! I would have SO much rather had him than drew or daunte, especially considering the HUGE need we have at receiver with such talentless people like chambers, booker, and mcmike!!:boohoo: Yup, we are doomed!!:sidelol:

The only thing he wanted was a free meal, I hope Saban and Mueller didn't pay the dinner last night:lol:

Dont worry they poisoned the food just in case this happend

Not a great loss IMO, we are loaded w/ "decent" wr, lol... but seriously it wasnt one of our pressing need.
