I still think the team intentionally didn't play him with hopes of stashing him on the PS. He could come in handy down the road.

Im thrilled as well.

With Chatman, Ronnie B, KJ- we have three very promising young backs. Not to mention the vets- Morris and RW.

its funny, last year we needed a rb and now we got some pretty good ones...

isn't that weird how that's turned around in one season. Sammy is a great back up too-one of my favs on the team. Now if we can just get some dominating lineman to block for them. Cmon Houck, get em together!

I too am very glad that Kay Jay Harris made our Practice Squad and would love to see him having a bright future here in Miami.

Who's the 8th guy?

Glad to see we kept Mann around, he looked good and was a victim of the #s game.

I agree that this may have happened. We need to remember that only two of the backs (HB or FB) on the roster are signed past this year. If Kay Jay can stick with the team through this year, I think he'll make the roster outright next year.

The only problem is hes 27. How many years can we wait for this guy? Doesnt make a lot of sense for a 27 year old to be on PS IMO.

He's got very little wear and tear though. Think Mike Anderson.

The 8th guy will be a QB you can almost bet on that. I'd say Josh Harris or Smoker.

I'd suggest that the clock on Kay Jay isn't as far along as the clock on most 27 year old running backs in the league. In fact, I'd suggest that a younger 4 year starter in college like Cedric Benson is farther along on the clock than Harris is. That isn't to say that Harris is ever likely to be a feature back -- he can be a nice second or third option for probably 5 years if he pans out.

It wouldn't really surprise me because someone always gets hurt. Chatman is only gonna be here a month & a half until Ricky returns.

Yes I could see Minor also being cut and Fred Gibson being brought up in case of injury, because if I'm not mistaken Ricky's roster spot is currently being counted against the roster.
