All I can say is props to Saban and Co. for what is already a solid offseason... Nick took most of our major weaknesses (QB, OL, DB) and has already upgraded them, not to mention adding depth along the way... once the season was over, I was thinking that we would have to fill a lot of holes in the draft, but now its looking more and more like we will simply take the best player available (which is just as exciting because it will probably be a surprise to most of us)... IMO we will probably sign J.Peterson or L.Arrington to complete our list of FAs, allowing us to simply add youth and talent to either side of the ball... any guesses on other possible FA targets (for depth, Im not talking about 'superstars' who want 10 million a year:shakeno: ) or who might fall to us in the draft (or possible picks later for depth)?....

i just hope brodie croyle falls into to us in the 3rd round... hes the guy i want progressing on the sidelines for 2 or 3 years...hes been coached by a shula.. he'll be good.

Kelly Campbell is probably going to be signed too.

ever since I saw that he was expected to sign (before the CBA got done) I havent seen anything about a possible signing of him...anyone hear anything new on that?

Kelly Campbell Sam Adams We must look at someone to be a backup Cleo Lemon And Brock Berlin come on now there ok but i still need a backup

Here's my wish list for before the draft. (and these are all possible.)

-LaVar Arrington or Julian Peterson (the cheaper one, probably Peterson.)

-Sam Adams

-Kendyl Jacox (former Saints o-lineman, can play C or G and is a good run blocker.)

THEN, we are done, and can go into the draft with no GLARING holes, and we can take the best player available.

right now i think we are a really balanced team the only thing that stands out is our run stopping ability, especially if we get peterson or arrington and we will have a good offence w/ brown mcmike chambers and c-pep well be unstoppable

our secondary is still below average

remember schulters still isnt a fin, we need him in order to be decent, we suck as of now, exactly who is starting at cb WE DONT NO, who is our startin saftys WE DONT NO, we dont have n e one were u can just say, wow, he is good, our front 7 is good but the rest is just blah

but yea get either of the LBs
A DB
and then draft Chad Jackson,

I agree, we have not really upgraded our secondary, still lacking a playmaker, just a bunch of ok guys. We need to sign Law or Woodson, we need a premier player in the secondary.

I agreed with your comment right up until I saw "We need to sign Law or Woodson, we need a premier player in the secondary."

The problem is yes it would be nice to get a premier playmaker in the secondary. But both of those guys are overrated and expensive. IMO Will Allen is a better CB than Charles Woodson. That still doesn't mean Will Allen is that great but that Charles Woodson is that bad.

Also Law says he wants 10 million, but he had more PIs than INTs. At one point it was double. That is a reason he has so many INTs, is because teams kept throwing at him.

Yeah. Mike Shula, which isn't exactly a good thing to tout. If you lived in the Tampa Bay area, you would know what I mean. He ran one of the least creative offenses in the history of the NFL.

Law had a great year last year and is still a premier DB in this league. I agree that Woodson is over rated, but I dont htink he is worse that Will Allen, Allen is not very good himself. This is really the only situation where we overpaid for someone.

I really doubt we select a QB in the 3rd round. We have already found our QB of the future who will be starting there for the next 5-8 years. That would be a wasted pick. We need to sign a veteran to roam the sidelines and fill in if needed. If we draft a QB it should be to have him as a backup in Omar Jacobs or Charlie Whitehurst. Brodie Croyle will be a starter in this league within the next 3 years and I'm happy to say, we won't need one by then. :D

A lot of teams go into training camp with questions, we arent the exception. We suck? I never knew that

We don't know who our safeties are b/c it's only Mar 19th, there is plenty of time to make our team better.

Oh, and if you want to discuss a team that sucks, try the Knicks
