Titans | GM Reese resigns
Fri, 5 Jan 2007 11:19:44 -0800

Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese resigned Friday, Jan. 5, after 13 seasons in that role with the organization. Reese could be a candidate to fill a personnel role with the Miami Dolphins.

Man, that would be a great move if we could get Reese....he's a good GM!

I'm definetly on the Reese for GM bandwagon

but but.....he was the Titans GM.

im glad u think the Titans are in the playoffs and going to the super bowl....but theyre sorta not. havent been for awhile. altho i cant down them, they came back this year considerably well.

Why Are U Guys Saying This We Already Have Meuller
There are no guarantees that Mueller will be back and the article said a personnel role which deosn't mean he will be the next GM.

I would rather have Scott Pioli then anyone. Otherwise Mueller is just as good if not better then Reese is.

If not for their 'go for broke' mentality during the super bowl run back in the late 90's, this would have been one of the most successfuly teams in the past 5 years. Look how quickly they went from cap hell to fighting for a playoff spot!

I'd be real happy with this guy as a GM.

Um how many times have the dolphins been to the superbowl or even a afc championship game in the last 10yrs?

Compare that to the titans.

If you cant get pioli I will be happy with Reese.

Mueller won a lot with the Saints, oh wait, he didn't!

In his defense, the saints SHOULD have won. I'd blame their underachievements on Jim Haslett, not Mueller. There was a real team there that should have made the playoffs twice IMO. Brooks was decent enough, Stallworth and Horn was a solid receiving core, and McCallister is a very good RB. They were in the hunt a few times for the playoffs. They just never won when it mattered. I remember one year they WOULD have made the playoffs, but they lost to the bengals (when they were real bad) in like week 17 to miss the playoffs. You cant blame the Gm for the coaches lack of being able to coach.

Im not sure I like that idea, but who knows the direction this franchise is going to take. They have to decide on Mueller first though.
