Where's Dennis in all this ?

We've heard from Ross , Tannebaum and several players but Hickey has disappeared.

I like our GM but he is definitely a lame duck now. Last years first and second round picks started immediately. This years have had little impact although Phillips does have our only sack and Parker back from injury is starting to get playing time.

I thought if we had a decent year he might stick around even if they decided on a new coach. Doubt it now.

Your thoughts ?

Hickey is in the lab preparing for the off-season...**** is going to be fire fam

That's sucks for him. He is a lame duck GM. I liked his drafts so far.

Hickey M.I.A.?!?

Send Chuck to find him.

When Tannenbaum was hired Hickey essentially became a glorified scout. Hickey was never the traditional GM that you often picture who has full control and authority over the roster and the team. He was very much a watered down GM from the moment he was hired because he was the 4th or 5th choice and the only one who would accept being paired with Philbin. He has really just been a talent evaluator from the beginning.

I could see a scenario where Tannenbaum keeps Hickey around in that same capacity. It all depends on their relationship. If he didn't really like Hickey to begin with, then he will be gone at the end of the season. Hopefully Tannenbaum would then hire another guy to be that talent evaluator role or we are doomed.

My hope is that when gets fired and not replaced, Fuhrer Goodell revokes Ross' privilege to own an NFL franchise for circumventing the Rooney Rule when he hired Tannenbaum.

He was kneecapped when Tannenbaum came it. He is done this winter too.

My memories on that hire is cloudy. I thought they had Farmer in for an interview. Maybe he declined and that counts :idk:

The Tannenbaum hire.

I really hope that is not true, for the 1st time in a very long time, I really think we found a GM that knows how to find talent in the draft.

Farmer was going to be the great GM for us, before he decided to stay in Cleveland, then we went with Hicky...to say we dodged a huge bullet, would be an understatement.

I felt for him with Tannebaum coming. Ndomokung Suh had Tannebaum written all over it. I doubt that move was made if Hickey was still in charge.

The fact that he wasn't at the presser when the interim coach was announced speaks volumes.. maybe he was busy working on practice squad signings. :chuckle:

Yep.

We will be idiots to not keep him and we know it'll happen too because of Tannembaum
