And then we can all play the nanny nanny boo boo, I was right game since this subject won't ease up.

you have 4 options just leave a comment as to where you stand on Tannehill today...

1. Tannehill's not the future, no way no how, I've made up my mind to move on. (WV)

2. Tannehill is the future, I like his development so far and expect it to continue. (Hoops)

3. Still undecided about future, wanna see things develop more but leaning to resign and cont to build around.

4. Still undecided about future, wanna see things develop more but leaning to explore other options and not resign.

Nobody's gonna win the debate now, Tannehill is the starter for the remainder of this year, lets support our team and stop this constant pissing contest as to who's stats or eye test is right... I think what we are gonna see is mainly fans are undecided and looking for more one way or the other... But we can let this rest for a while and claim the throne of QB evaluation champions group at the end of this season.

Ps the WV and Hoops in () is just my take on their positions, not to put words in their mouths...if either feel slighted by that inclusion I will delete. Just PM me :)

I will go first... I'm a #3 guy... Still need to see improvement but my gut and eyes tell me he will get there, and Tannehill will be a dolphin for many years!

3 probably, but I don't think we NEED to resign him at the end of the year. He is still under contract next year. Could give him the Flacco "prove it" treatment

I am by far with Hoops. There are areas he still needs to get better at, and some to clean up, but every week like a smack to the face for those willing to actually pay attention, sign are showing it's becoming less and less potential and more and more realization that this could be Miami's next good to great QB.

Just because he has had a few better games does not erase the REASONS for the poor performances - I just don't believe that the lack of pocket presence and big play potential will ever go away. Suspect we will end up 9-7 again, which is a pretty accurate summary of our QB play. Not satisfied with this.

I'm on #3, and not because I dislike Tannehill. I haven't seen enough progress, enough consistency, to believe he's more than a decent starting QB, and I want more. Therefore I would resign him, because you aren't doing any better in free agency, and continue to look for a QB in the draft that turns into a star. How likely is that? Outside a complete tank job not too much, but if you never go for more you never get more.

#2. Have more to be hopeful about with Ryan than we have had these past 10+ years.

2 all the way. I think RT has enough talent to make it. He needs time. Not comparing him to Rodgers but what if he would have had the same set up? What would AR have done in his first 3 years playing? I do think however philbin has retarded the progress.

#4. (kind of)

I was close to #1 following the Kansas City game. But Tannehill rebounded and has since played well enough to play out the year. That said, I don't think he's going to get much better. He has shown that he can fix some of his problems, but sometimes he falls back into those problems. Moreover, the one problem he has yet to show he can overcome is the big one: the down-field throwing.

And I say "kind of" because I don't think the phins necessarily should not resign him, but I don't want them to pay more than he's worth (which right now is a game manager that is ~20th in the league).

I think he is a the perfect reason for the franchise tag. Another year to see how he develops. You're not going to get him on a short term deal so in this case it is ideal.
